Pete Hines joined Tamoor Hussain and GameSpot to give details about Bethesda's upcoming games. From Starfield to Redfall, Pete explains Bethesda's work philosophy and his thoughts on Xbox Game Pass.
M$ should have bought Elite Dangerous's company too. Get Braben (and Carmack?) to make Starfield with an updated Elite engine. Then get Bethesda to focus on making a space RPG full of content. This could be potentially interesting if behind it was a studio to whom RPG-gameplay and mechanics weren’t just a bunch of lazy stats and a perk-chart taped over the big picture.
Hopefully he's actually busy directing the game this time.We want more Todd.
Inertia. As far as we know Starfield can be anything from a grand strategy game to gatcha shit, so until we learn what the gameplay is actually like it can stay here for the moment. Why is this thread here and not in the "Space Game" subforum?
"We" shut the fuck up.Fire Pete Hines. We want more Todd.
Some of the drawings remind me Juan Gimenez. The only good thing is the NASA-punk aesthetics.
We already don't own anything. Physical game media is pretty much dead on PC.
But at least you can download and install and run your games offline. Even Steam allows that.
They all are. Microsoft's starting off slow with their Gamepass program, Sony rolled out a PS5 version with no disc drive, Google tried going straight for the cloud with Stadia. Abandon ye all hope, for Robin Williams, bless him, called it ages ago:

"It is Skyrim in space."
Nah, man, infinite! Infinite's the key progression."It is Skyrim in space."
Amulet of Space
Galaxy Emperor Uriel Septim MMMCCCXVIII is assassinated as he attempts to flee from the Imperial Space Ship after learning that assassins have killed his trans-sons.
However, before his death, he hands the Amulet of Space over to the person who would become the Hero of Galaxy,
Given that the Imperials had to shut down their moon colony due to costs this can unironically work. You know, that would be a lot more exciting than this trite Fallout/Mass Effect mish-mash they showed so far."It is Skyrim in space."
