Funny there is a anti-birb federation forming.

Another funny thing is how they are halting the creating a galaxy wide market. (Suck that birb globalists)

I was entertained but I wonder how they will continue this next week..

Stefan and his birbs are getting absolutely slaughtered by the hardcore PvP server people. They have already lost. Even if they switched tactics now, they can't make up the lost ground.

I see. I missed the big war. So people are not roleplaying, only out for blood and paint the map?

Stefan and his people thought this would be a chill roleplaying game. Stefan told the people from his server (all the "birbs") to play like that and thought everyone had agreed to play like that.

However the guy who runs the hardcore PVP server seemingly told his people to "just play normal".. which for said people means rush builds and attacking in 2220 with 3K fleets.

Birbs didn't stand a chance.

Even if the rules say its supposed to be a chill game, with that many people in an open MP there's always going to be at least 2 or 3 who decide they want to roleplay someone who conquers you immediately.

Round Two:

The first one was fun to watch but I cannot recommend this one.

Act 1: High school girl level drama about the "spirit of the game"

Act 2: A convoluted yet boring and inconsequential manual peace deal which took like an hour to negotiate and execute

Act 3: One actual big battle which was over in a few seconds in typical Stellaris fashion

Only highlights: Someone came up with the name "Loli dealer" and Stefan was compared to Hitler. Multiple times. "The Nazis also wanted peace!" LOL

But no, don't watch this. Not worth your time, because it was very messy and hard to follow. Again, if you want to see a watchable Stellaris MP watch this one:

* Fixed the bug when the policy in breach alert hasn't been updated in UI properly.
* The "Claim" CB for Conquest wars now mention that you have x claims on the enemy and their allies, to reduce the confusion in the case where you have claimed one of the defenders, but none the one you are actually attempting to declare the war on. (You must declare the Conquest war on a target which you have claims on.)
* Fixed so that the Space Storm negative modifier went away once the event was over.

* Added several events to spawn amoebas and during the game.
this is important to me, i play every civ game with raging barbarians on, so my defenses can be tested while the computer cheats away.
stellaris needs internal affairs, if they can't be political, at least let me have random attacking creatures.

even with the powerful rebellions mod pushed to the max, you could have internal struggle only if you purposedly built an entire race to have unrest problems. this a year or two ago, with a more difficult game.

It's possible to have rebellions in Stellaris? Seriously? Even planets with everyone at 0 happiness have never revolted on me. Do you have to intentionally disable the automatically-present police force for that to happen?

vanilla it is probably not possible anymore, even trying. and it's exactly what this game -doesn't- need. it's so easy to see...

I see system revolts happening all the time to AI, usually to Machine Consciousness empires when their organic batteries revolt, but recently to the authoritarian fanatic millitarist founders of the Hegemony federation I took over. Also to another member once or twice, but these guys have it rough. All those usually are just useless single planet rebellions popped like the moles they are.

Oh yes, it is. Happened to me in a recent 2.6 game.

I conquered primitives and enslaved them (Using Stratified Economy / Cattle Slavery). Needless to say the guys were really pissed. 0% Stability on their home world. And yes, they revolted. In fact they successfully revolted, kicking me off their planet because I didn't expect a revolt and thus hadn't stationed troops there.

Do you have to intentionally disable the automatically-present police force for that to happen?
Nope, the default police force is like 2 units, and the revolts seem to be scaled by population. About a dozen rebel units popped up in my case and they easily defeated the default garrison.

The 72 Player game is now called a "Battle Royale"

If they actually change it to a Battle Royale, that could be fun..
