I have fun with SW:TOR.

I don't mind the subscription as long as new content keeps coming on a steady flow.

Fuck the haters, really.. my Saber of Light pulsates with their emotional energy.

You just gotta love the SWTOR forums though:

If you think lowly of DA2's story, then you have absolutely no idea what quality storytelling entails. DA2 was as close to literary fiction as gaming has ever gotten: character-driven, huge focus on characterization, not very plot-focused, darker/more serious tone, slower paced, etc..

Everything else, including this game and every other BioWare game, is genre fiction. Genre fiction isn't bad in my opinion, but in the upper echelon of literary scholars, literary fiction (Hemingway, etc.) is "serious" fiction whereas genre fiction (Dan Brown, etc.) is "pop" fiction.

TOR forums is a pile of poo.
The most whining community I've ever seen. You still get all gay tran romances shit BUT it's only on Lore part of forums, so because biotards can't whine about romances in more than 3 subforums they whine about being shitty players in PvP forum and every yodafucking class forum.
Cunts.

And I can't even call them retarded, because Bio-admin PMed me and said I use "retarded" word too much in my posts there.

BioWare hit with layoffs.

"Impacting people's lives this way is always very hard, but we're ensuring the affected people are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect," said the company's CEO Ray Muzyka and vice president Greg Zeschuk in a joint statement.

That's right, Ray and Greg. And there I thought having a blockbuster MMO is about keeping those people employed, not firing them.

And they replaced those people with the crew of DA3, but they promised it will not influence the production of said game in any way.

So how often are you allowed to call them retarded?

So wait, this game is still around? Longer than I hoped it would be.
"still around", well yeah sure, it will "still be around" for as long as the dumbfucks at EA pour money into it.
but is it still "relevant"? no.

Cool. Have servers started to shut down everywhere or what?

Not yet. Last I heard, there will be server transfers starting next Tuesday. I guess they'll start merging servers once the majority of their remaining playerbase has transferred off of the dead servers.

Alas, poor TOR. I would play the imperial agent storyline again if I didn't have to pay for a monthly subscription, they somehow merged the flashpoints (complete with BRO-op play with BROs) into it and reduced the trash mob grindan a bit. Neeri Vess AKA Cipher Nine was a smooth operator. :chissfist:

@BiowEAre: Onimatopeia, new directive: Make a single player TOR game written by the guy who did the Imperial Agent story line.

Obligatroy "Kaliyooooooooooooooooooo!!!!" goes here. My fellow IA BROs will know what I'm talking about.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/06/15/hmmm-the-old-republic-looking-at-free-to-play/

“I think it’s more than the free-to-play model – it’s more that there is a lot of competitive offers. If it was just free-to-play games and they weren’t very good it wouldn’t even be a question. But there are definitely good games out there and good games coming out, so of course all of this competition impacts your plan with what you want to do.”
“The MMO market is very dynamic and we need to be dynamic as well. Unless people are happy with what they have, they are constantly demanding updates, new modes and situations. So we are looking at free-to-play, but I can’t tell you in much detail. We have to be flexible and adapt to what is going on.”

Here we go.
