God damn, I leave for a few months and I come back to your brain leaking out of your ear.
Go set yourself on fire or something, you are done here.
Don't forget he plays RPGs on Xbox with a fucking gamepad.
Yea, attack a guy that lives in shithole country that could not afford a new overpriced PC and had to get new Xbox instead. A proper graphic card for PC is almost the cost of whole Xbox.
Also I do not really play new RPGs on Xbox as there are none new and good to play except Rogue Trader. Also turn based games are very playable with a controller.
For fuck's sake. It is you who came here just to state some aggressive, unwanted and unnecessary things about a game you aren't even interested in in a thread not even dedicated to it.

You came here to spam, troll and offend.

And now you're complaining, playing the victim?

Open a fucking thread with your opinions about ATOM, Swordhaven or whatever. Those interested, will join you.

And they will rightly offend you for your unsubstantiated opinions

Nah, I left one regular comment about my fears about this game based on game being made by same people that did ATOM and I was jumped by a bunch of rabid butthurt fanboys. It is not in my nature to go down without a fight. So more you guys attack me, more I fight back. So stop being butthurt about people not liking the game you like and everyone can go on their way and talk about the game that is in this topic instead of all your being still so butthurt about ATOM not being adored by everyone.

You made a dumb comment and everyone called you out as a moron. And rightfully so. Basically:

They kinda did desecrate Fallout though. Not by intention mind you but they were a bunch of complete amateurs at that point. They adapted what they could but every time they came up with something of their own it was bad, like the perk tree for example. Also they've had a real problem with filtering bad ideas, they put in all they could, again. Including the cringiest shit possible. My theory of why ATOM is so overrated here is because people are unable recognize most of the cringe due to translation and whatnot. Ironically similar to how I myself wasn't able to recognize all the excessive garbage in Fallout 2 at the time.

With Trudograd they obviously matured somewhat, in the writing department at least even though the gameplay became even more basic and on an easy as pie side.

Now even though this is definitely inspired by BG it's clearly not a carbon copy anymore and they've accumulated enough experience to be more confident and try more new things, so I try to keep an open mind about it although I didn't like the demo.

you're contradicting yourself.

If the main problem were the original ideas of the Atom team, and what they copied 1:1 was fine, this means they did not desecrate the Holy Fallout Formula.

Possible. I most likely didn't get a lot of references from Atom because they seemed very obscure.

Agreed x2. Trudograd has better writing and the Soviet power armor trivializes gameplay in the 2nd half of the campaign, you basically become untouchable.

I'm also optimistic, despite the fact that I'm pretty bored with generic fantasy and its tropes.

Where did I say the Fallout formula was the problem? The problem was other shit they've added in the pot.

You claimed they desecrated Fallout but then added the problem were the new elements they introduced.

The only way they could have desecrated Fallout was by not giving justice to its original constitutive elements. And that did not happen.

Dunno, read a dictionary if you want. They've spoiled it. They've made it worse, alright? Whatever, not going to argue semantics further.

Would you rather play Atom rpg, or pillars of eternity?

I have backed Swordhaven on Kickstarter and I'm satisfied with esthetic, art style and vibe of game so far. Gameplay and RPGness is something they are still working on and it seems it will be decent at least. Game is grounded AKA something you can believe in, not musical with tranny nigger fairies in match between gods who throw nukes at each other as new Dragon Age is. It's what RPGs used to do with our reality. Teleport it somewhere else and be: WHAT IF scenarios

Swordhaven's WHAT IF is what if loosely 16th century Eastearn Europe (Poland, Russia, Baltic states, Scandinavia...) was teleported into low fantasy yet very fantastic setting where every monster is believable. By believable I mean to us with our knowledge of flora and fauna we had interacted for thousands of years on our continent. Magic is something real, as much as laws of physics is magic of our reality. Also Baldur's Gate like big city as your playground (Swordhaven I believe is its name). Also dinosaurs, yet well vowen into this fantasy eco system. And Indiana Jones like expeditions done in Baldur's Gate style to find powerful artifacts. What for? That answer along with rest of story and this new world remains to be uncovered

That's how I see it so far. I believe in them enough to be their backer. I just hope they'll have extra hard difficulty mode. Last dev diary video strengthened my faith in Swordhaven and Atom Team

There could still exist Ogres, Gnolls and other beasts even if it's No Magic, the beastiary could still be large.
Sick to death of the fantasy races.
And slightly bothered by magic.
I am not entirely opposed to magic, just make it more dangerous to wield and difficult to master.

Play Rogue Trader then. Or back to BG1EE and play a wild mage.

Just because you have shit taste and need to play games on an xbox s series, don't tell other members what to do. Thanks.

LOW BELIEVABLE FANTASY RULES
conan-1.jpg

This is nowhere near on the same level as Conan the Barbarian. Lay off the shrooms and get a grip on reality. Their setting is as mundane as they come. It's got as much testosterone and edge to it as Josh Soyer's faggy-ass Eora (which coincidentally also has you playing as a colonist). When I think of a fantasy Russian Empire sending out adventurers to a far off land this is what I expect to encounter:

vsevolod-ivanov-borei-the-wind-of-retribution-2006-e1273553761484.jpg

And not some generic 15th century Slavic peasants living in a generic Mediterranean-looking province. If it weren't for the monsters, I'd assume this was a medieval RPG set in the fucking Balkans.

Much of the Swordhaven and its world remains to be seen. I'm pretty certain this world has many surprises up his sleeve. BASED low fantasy Baldur's Gate made in 2020s by team with experience? What's not to like. You can wish for it to be thousand different things, but what's not to like about fact it is being made. Fucking cool

Man I was just messing with you before. I’m sorry to hear about your situation. I hope things get better where you live or you can change your circumstances.

Just don’t come to America or I’m calling ICE to deport your ass.
