Atomboy I come to you with a highly autistic request. A walk key! It adds a lot to me, to be able to slowly walk through the areas, without having to enter stealth to do so.

Also, a question. Where do I see my skill rolls?

How is magery in this game?
No mages. Pick up a sword, noodle arms.
But I want to burn people as I stab them.
you can burn them with the Fire Solution! we have tons of alchemical bottles aimed for chucking around!
Atomboy I would like to buy the game now to support the development (not a backer) but prefer to buy through GoG. Is there a possibility of releasing during early access in GoG?
It's already there my friend!

Why are you afraid of using MALE characters' portraits in your promo material? Mulan & Pee Pee Long Stock battling dinosaurs? Oooookkkkk

Dinosaurs ain't the problem. Even Mulan and Pee Pee ain't too. During entire trailer two women, one looks like delicate princess flower while the other looks like tryhard female Jack Sparrow, are discovering new, untamed, harsh lands full of dangerous people, animals and mysteries. And you see WOMEN and nothing but WOMEN. Is this PowerPuff Girls RPG?

ah. Boys should have minimum contact with their Mums after the age of 9. It produces this silly artistic and philosophical world view where boy trapped in body of adult male spends his entire life searching for warm tit to suck
Our video guy loves to play as his waifus, can you really blame him? :---D

Hope you'll like it!
Purchased on Steam.

Thank you!
I'm really excited for this game but, somehow, graphics are quite uninspiring
I have to say, they grow on you! Or maybe I'm just saying it because I spent five months of my life on one village map???
They're pretty colorful though!

Right now sneaking makes you walk, but a walk key? Sure, I'll put it into the feedback pile. We have a pile this time, a dedicated folder where we copypaste all suggestions we get and implement them in an orderly fashion unless they mess with the vision too much. This one MUST become our bestest, user-friendliest rpg yet!

Oh no I missed your other question sorry. We will add skill role info into the player log, so you can drag your mouse to the <Failure> <Success> or the number in your player log and see it. We will probably implement it, as this time around the formulas are less lovecraftian and can actually be represented with simple numbers and words instead of how it was before.

I didn't want to sound "aggressive", in any case. I'm sure they will grow on me. And I'm sure I'll love the game as I did with Atom and Trudograd. It's just that there is something "unfitting" and I don't know what it is

Atomboy One final question for now. Will there be any kind of weapon switch, so you can easily go from range to melee? Maybe for an AP cost?

Edit:
Oops, I'm dumb. You just put weapon in the quickslot.

I know exactly what you mean, it was kinda weird looking for me when the first locations were done by the mapper. But it kinda became familiar in time.
Bought. I usually don't play EA but there's nothing else worthwhile to play rn, so I'll give it a go.

Good luck Atom Team
Thanks man!
Turn based? Count me in!
But if you are looking for real jank, there's also a RTWP mode that kind of works!

Yes you do, but the whole weapon switching thing isn't really touched yet. I wanna do something with it, to make it viable for players to learn skills from different trees and making composite builds, so weapon switching will get new systems soon.

I'm not very far at all, but seems very polished for early access. I'm predicting another codex favorite down the line. Good job Atomboy

Apparently there's a toggle between turn-based and RTwP, but I personally won't be switching over from turn-based. Here's some AI settings for anyone interested:

Thank you! We do get some bug reports, but thankfully not as many as when Atom first went into EA. At least nobody's PC is on fire, yet. RTWP is great for clearing out hordes of weaker enemies, doubt that it will be as viable as turn based ever, but we are still working on it

Game seems otherwise adequately masculine. No 50/50 male/female bandits BS, default in char generator being black woman in european medieval fantasy world, your trailer's narrator screaming QUUEENZZ! and kings and so on. Masculine doesn't describe it fully. Real is better word. Fantasy can be high fantasy one like Morrowind, yet it's believable. And with strong female characters. Even two-gendered living gods. But no ideological trotskyist WOKE BS. Keep BS to minimum. As silly as ATOM games can get sometimes, people believed in that world while playing. Why? Because 0 WOKE BS. It was real alternative world. Hope it stays that way in Swordhaven

BTW video guy pushing his waifus hard in videos is something I later on thought was very likely scenario. I like believable strong women characters in Men's World, cause I know them, History knows them, they exist. Portraits for your female companions are very cool. It's all about integrity of your world's artistic vibe

Would I like this if I didn’t ATOM?
Depends on your reasons for not liking it. Swordhaven is very distinct in its looks, writing, story, setting, etc, when compared to Atom, but it inherits most systems, though there are major changes done to every one of them, and it is as dialogue heavy as ATOM.

Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy — Begins! Thank you for your support!

Greetings, friends!

We have finally reached a major milestone for our game: Swordhaven has been released into Early Access.

[Steam] [GOG]

Of course, the game is not yet fully developed content-wise, and some mechanics that are already in place may require further refinement. But thanks to Early Access, we can communicate with you directly and consider your ideas and suggestions as we progress, truly designing Swordhaven in the way our players envision it.

This, however, is only possible if we receive feedback. Please feel free to contact us in any way you see fit to share your opinions. We will evaluate your feedback and implement it into the game before our full release.

So, what comes now?

First and foremost, we're planning updates to the game, with major ones hitting roughly once every couple of months. We will provide you with all the necessary information to keep you in the loop about what's been implemented and what the next big addition is.

One area we will focus on is the Real-Time with Pause battle mode, which is currently available for testing in the game. Swordhaven already provides a variety of settings for the AI, including the option to turn it off completely, and we will continue to make improvements in this regard. Animations are also a priority; we already have a lot, but there's much more to come!

Compatibility, optimization, and bug fixing are also top priorities for us. We're doing everything we can to test the game on all available devices, but a small team cannot cover every configuration out there.

We are also continuing to work on the rewards, including portraits. Before the full release, each new content update will feature unique contributions from our backers. Please rest assured and stay tuned as we progress through the development process.

If you encounter a bug (such as launch problems, graphics issues, or freezing), please send us a report at support@atomrpg.com. Our new Bug Tracker feature will help us track your problem, and you can check the resolution status at any time.

Thank you very much for being with us, and let's hope for a smooth ride towards the biggest milestone yet: the full release!

Stay awesome!

Best regards,

Atom Team

How do you add new skills to the action bar? I have a second skill (Pin Down) but I don't see a way to move it to the action bar to use in combat.

You just go to your inventory, hit the tab that says techniques, and drag to your belt. It's super counter intuitive, we'll make an unskippable tutorial for that thing soon!
