For those who don't realize, your objective list is right here:
Well, doesn't it say somewhere in SS1 (or maybe that was only in the remake, I just played both back to back) that 98% of the lifepods on citadel station have already been launched? It's not strictly necessary that whatever laptopguy squad manager or group of survivors you play as during an interquel between the intro and gameplay of System Shock 1 are ones that were killed.I guess Nightdive might be cognisant of that if they want a prequel set inside the story of SS1, but who wants to play as some doomed losers who are necessarily going to fail at their mission, and whose story we already know? Strange idea.
Either this level division is off, or the outside view doesn't match where the levels are.For those who don't realize, your objective list is right here:
Cool idea but i found it boringThat's one thing I liked about Prey, flying around outside the station was neat.
stephen kick mentioned that he wanted there to be a fucking telltale game set before system shock 1 in this article:I guess Nightdive might be cognisant of that if they want a prequel set inside the story of SS1, but who wants to play as some doomed losers who are necessarily going to fail at their mission, and whose story we already know? Strange idea.
looking forward to the remake selling enough copies so we can get a WACKY anime shodan dating sim spinoff in another 7 years from nowAccording to Kick, potential publishers at the time included Starbreeze Entertainment (the publisher originally slated to release Otherside Entertainment's System Shock 3) and Telltale Games, who shut down unexpectedly just weeks after talks began.
"That felt like a gut punch," Kick tells Time Extension, "Because we really loved the people over there and we loved the games that we did and there was some talk about, ‘Oh, if we do System Shock with you guys, maybe you can do an adventure game that explores what happens before SHODAN took over.’ So, there were a lot of interesting, collaborative possibilities in that instance as well. But yeah, we spent months just travelling to different studios and pitching the game that we had, and for lack of a better word, they all said ‘No’."
I think I should pitch my Doom RPG-style spin-off again because even a scenario like 'what if the hacker died in his sleep and a reprogrammed cyborg took his place' sounds less stupid than this.Nightdive wants to make more System Shock games. One idea they have is an Xcom-style prequel where you play Citadel crew members fighting Shodan's takeover of the station.

I called it.Gonna milk this fucker straight into the ground.
The best thing about Prey was the level traversal fuckery. That's one thing I liked about Prey, flying around outside the station was neat.
Or do they just own the rights to "System Shock 3"?
This is the human disaster that happen after almost 30 years of bad gaming.https://steamcommunity.com/app/482400/discussions/0/3836550304890088192/
Too tired of wandering through the maze
I'm a kind of a guy who appreciate winding tunnels and twisting maps, such as Soul series and The Surge, but this is beyond my tolerance.
The most blatant flaw on this design is the lack of clear objective.
You have no idea what to do, or look for. And All the map being circular does not help the matters.
If you need the help of youtube to find your, not secrets nor side mission, but main objective, I think this game is very bad with level design.
It ended up being a checkbox on a list of features rather than something important to the gameplay. The station needed a kind of Mooncrash-esque RNG/Roguelike option where navigation wasn't so simple.Cool idea but i found it boringThat's one thing I liked about Prey, flying around outside the station was neat.
"Parody" dating sims are some of the most successful spin-offs nowadays, so I wouldn't even be shocked (heh).looking forward to the remake selling enough copies so we can get a WACKY anime shodan dating sim spinoff in another 7 years from now

My God, what kind of potato are you playing this on?I also adjusted the visual settings, turning them up slowly as the older hardware might suffer a meltdown.
Is that because you're recylcing more with each batch or because it's increasing the payout for the same amount? The recycler-related mods are a Godsend. Instead of recycling a whole batch that nets me around 4-6 credits, I'm getting ~30 credits per batch.
