Congrats! It's not easy getting your first victory and it's very satisfying.

another of my rogues died and it was ragequit on my part

I strike some boss orc mage from shadows, throw knife at max range.
BOOM, half of my hp is gone and enemy got shield up. Ok, easy, let me throw poisonous strike and regain my full hp bar.
Im dead, with 60% hp bar... I guess that shield was reflective?

You can check what killed you in the combat log. Not that it's super clear and easy to read.

So finally bought the game, does it take long to unlock Chronomancer, Psionic, Archmage and Tinker (meta) classes? Guess I will start with Alchemist and Shadowblade mostly for unlocking purposes.

You can cheat engine elemental damage dealt to unlock archmage real fast, that's what i did because fuck 2K hours to unlock shit.
I have no idea about the rest, i had enough with 3 partial playthrough with 3 different classes (never played the archmage after cheat-unlocking it ^^') so i only played a barbarian/berserker, a shadowblade (i think or something similar) and an alchemist.

Looking up unlock prereqs can ruin some of the fun, it can be interesting to stumble on a random dungeon and then boom you can be an oozemancer now! You never knew what an oozemancer was but now you had a pleasant surprise.

Some of them, though, like stone warden, make no fucking sense, so after unlocking a few naturally might as well look it up.

Archmage is one of the easiest to unlock classes in the game, you can get him in ~15 minutes of creating a new character. Chronomancer is also not too bad, but Psionic and Tinker are not so easy.

Archmage is very easy to unlock. The others not so much. Chronomancer has 2 classes, one is easier to unlock than the other and you could get the first class very fast if you know where to go. Psionics are the toughest to unlock.

Is Necromancer easy to unlock?
It depends* on RNG. I don't know if you want me to spoil anything, but I had to look this one up when I unlocked it. You can technically stumble on it accidentally, but it's a long shot and it more than likely* would require multiple runs to accomplish even if you know exactly what you need to do.

* Kind of, you'll eventually get what you need 100%, but getting there involves RNG you can't control.

Alright game is good at kicking your arse even on normal. Ouch. Alchemist had to flee from that first tower from some kind of ogre mage and my dwarven Bulwark got killed by loads of giants. Wish I could do something for the golem but eh, you have to wait until your bombs are not hurting your allies anymore and those 5 points will take a little then bombs can finally buff the golem.

I unlocked most of the races/classes by just playing the game but as Rafidur said, some of the class unlocks are quite random...
There's an article in the te4 wiki with reduced spoilers, you may want to take a look if you're looking for a specific unlock:

Eh, most class unlocks are at least vaguely connected to their theme, but finding those things requires thorough exploration and going off the beaten path. The necromancer unlock could use a rework, it's kind of unsatisfactory and at best campy, at worst dumb.

What is the chance of ever unlocking stone warden naturally? (heh heh, 'naturally')

It's doable and I'd say easier for newbies to stumble on, but the sequence of circumstances is very specific, so beats me.
Play a dwarf alchemist as one of your first chars who eats the sandworm heart and pump points into the harmony tree

Just a question about the Alchemist's golem, you can adjust those abilities the golem has with "tactical weight". Problem for me is that I am not sure if higher means more usage, or less. My main goal in adjusting those is that he prefers to use his eye beams first and foremost, then his shielding, then the charge. I am not sure though that I see a major difference regardless of my settings.

I haven't felt the need to tinker with my golem/worm-that-walks because they are there to soak damage or set up combos for you (f.e. give them weapons with on-hit effects). They have an inherent -75% damage modifier, so they'll never be a powerhouse damage-wise. I've also found their AI adequate for what they do.

Stumbled upon Wilder and Archmage somehow today. Also did that quest in the lumbermill which unlocked that Cursed one class. Good times. Hope to see some race unlocks soon.
Already restarted a dozen times and deleted about half a dozen chars. Currently running an Archer, Alchemist, Archmage, Wilder and Rogue.

Summoner, yeah. Made an Arcane Blade. too. This is one of a few games where you can actually make a two handed weapon wielding, heavy armor using, fireball(fireflash) throwing gish type mage.

There technically is a romance option depending on your definitions ;d On top of that, not participating in that romance is a prerequisite for one of the race unlocks.

Why technically? The romance is pretty straightforward, you even get a ending scene if you do it and beat the game. it's one of those things you should do at least once, just for the lulz

Oooh, I didn't know this. I've done the event two times to unlock both things and in the one I won I ...didn't do the romance if you get what I mean.
