$95 to get the physical copy of the map?
uh, no thanks

I think the CE tier is actually p good tho'. I mean it's cheaper than other CEs for early birds and quite meaty. I can imagine a variety of digital-only tiers don't excite as much though.
I really wonder how this will go, it's going to be a test of if the "kickstarter fatigue" idea is real.
The lack of MCA and Planescape will also limit the appeal to many.
My bet: It gets funded, but less than 150%.
AAA titles have started not only copying shitty gameplay from consoles but also shitty price-tags. Used to be I could get new games for 40€. Now if I want to buy shortly after release (rarely the case as it is) they want 55€...Wasteland 2 was $15, now Torment is $25....
Everything else is just token shit to show their appreciation for you giving more than you needed.
o_O
Or rather it's "shit" that makes some people pay more than "needed". It's not a favor that inXile does to people, really.
Who exactly do you think donates based on how much they want the game? That makes no sense. No matter how much I want it, I can just get it for $25.

You mean like...? A running demo? This better have more to show than just some concept art
25$ for minimum is too much and generally the tiers aren't that great.
I'm hoping this is intentionally banal so they can afterwards say : "LOL we listened to our fans and added cheaper and more interesting tiers !"
We don't even know how much they'd like to collect. That being said, will this be worth getting the $5K "monument" tier for Codex ? Not too sure this time, with the cheapest physical tier ending up over 100$ with shipping. Won't have much for an eventual Codex fundraiser.
What cash grab? Are they supposed to make the game using RPG maker? This cashgrab is a bit too blatant. I hope it won't get anywhere.
This cashgrab is a bit too blatant.
The problem is that Wasteland 2 looked like nothingI would suggest waiting for the promo video before making any dire pronouncements.
Remember when everybody thought Wasteland 2 would look like shit? Oops!

All this "$25 is too much" is absurd, unless you live in a country where that's more than what you usually pay for games due to the exchange rate. Like the thing Jeff Vogel was talking about. "I want a RPG with good mechanics and dozens of hours of interesting content but I do not want to pay more than $15-20 for this product, make it happen slaves."

Not new games you can't unless it was something made on a really small budget.Steam | GoG | eBay | Classifieds | "Free"
Maybe we should let random internet commenters field this one.The game really sounds like a cash grab. I mean srsly, before their first retro RPG is even close to being finished, they, a small studio from the outer planes, announce yet another one? Where they don't even have any of the original IP, the only connection to PST is that they use "torment"? And this supposed "thematical similarity" which we have no reason as of yet to believe they can pull off (see: inxile track record)?
For fucks sake, they are so overextended they have to resort to hiring random internet commenters to work as "producers" for them, yet they seem to want to start funding this game before W2 is finished. Does this make you feel reassured of their good intentions? I mean if they intend for W2 to be a good game, why not wait with this kickstarter till after W2 is released, and ride the coattails of it's success and the cred they get?
I hope I'm wrong but this numenera:torment shit really rubs me the wrong way.
Actually, going by inXile's track record it kinda is(Yeah, not the best company to compare inXile to, I know)
