Faith for Chaos forces? It would make more sense if they're of the Word Bearers or something. Otherwise, their faith in the Dark Gods is more like brainwashing, but details.

Chaos worshippers tend to be as fanatic, if not more so, than the imperial ecclesiarchy in the fluff. Unfortunately, they also tend to be one-note, and all Slaaneshi cults are just excuses for orgies, drugs and tentacles. I'm going to go with something a little bit more organized and practical, while still retaining the orgies/drugs/tentacles I guess.

What I have in mind for the player character is that he (yes, PC locked to male because I'm not making two god-damned games with gender choices with sex in it), comes to the planet as a mid-ranking cultist of a sprawling Slaaneshi-based organization.


Who are Space Pilgirms? Is that supposed to be the Not-Holy-Inquisition?

Space pilgrims are Ordo Hereticus, because apparently they just love having pilgrim hats to signify their witch burning ways. They probably won't be called space pilgrims in the game.

First in-game screenshot. Just look at that graphical fidelity! Cyberpunk can't compete.

Not sure about the colors, will probably make it more vibrant. Usual WIP stuff. World is made of hexes.

Programming hostile zones where enemy patrols can chase you down. It's been a while since I played Battle Brothers so I don't remember exactly how that game handled it.

Also adding moddable weapons.

Hopefully that includes inventing new weapons/stuff. That's extremely heretical for the Adeptus NMechanicus, which means your party should totally do it.

Yup. There might be AI and Men of Iron in the game too.

I sure hope you will manage to match the anime porn with gun porn.

Um, as much as pixel art gun porn can go, I suppose.

Did you make some efforts towards optimizing the "engine"?
Looks like the characters aren't animated so it might help because highly customized RPGMaker MV tends to be extremely power hungry and your previous game is quite laggy during combat phases (takes a few seconds to validate a combat option)

Aside from that, it looks good.

Aside from that, it looks good.

If you're talking about combat lag, that's more from AI processes than anything to do with the engine itself, although older PCs will struggle a bit. I managed to program the AI to be a little too complicated (despite them not being very smart), and I need to spend some time tinkering with their behaviors and move sets.

Ah, that's just the art style of the overworld assets. I might bump up the contrast a bit.

Dunno, I won't be handling that part of the game. All I can say for now is that it won't be pixel animations.

Adding Factions. The first continent will have 7 that you can infiltrate and slowly corrupt from the inside:

- The Machine Faith

- The Enforcers

- Citizens

- Serfs

- Mutants

- Gangs

- State Ministry (!)

Each faction will have a unique HQ/Hab Center.

BTW what is going to be the end-game? Opening a warp rift on the planet? Taking it over and defending it from an invasion? Fucking the wife of every faction leader? Something else?

Oh, me and my dev partner have some SUPER BLASPHEMOUS™ ideas in the works right now. It'll probably be similar to late game crises in Battle Brothers, but instead of a menu toggle, the crisis that triggers is dependent on gameplay decisions.

There's also a main story path with the goal of turning the planet into a demon world.

But these ideas are pretty far off, we're working on getting a playable build and seeing if there's any interest in the game.

The Black Crusade pnp game had Daemonhood as an endgame goal, which works well, since it's a race against time before you're too corrupted and become a mass of writhing flesh. Or starting a Black Crusade (and deposing Abbydon offscreen for that to work, of course).

Art is hard okay. On a more serious note, probably should remove scopes, because scopes are heretical in 40k unless you're an assassin or space elf.

Dark Heresy, the pnp game, says otherwise. Everyone has red-dot laser sights on their guns for their +10 bonus to hit.
