So is this worth playing? haven't played Demon's Souls completely, but loved Dark Souls.

Also is there OP magic here, like the Pyromancer in Dark Souls?

1. It's worth playing. Not a classic like Dark Souls but still pretty good.

2. Magic is more OP. Miracles and Hexes mostly.

Hmm, will try the game then.

And the OP magic is based on Faith this time? Will still go mostly int mage first time though.

Faith with enough int for Chime-based hexes will allow you to plow through this game. Lightning Spear and Resonant Soul come to mind.

Sorcery sucks in Dark Souls 2.

Sorceries ain't bad but you only get good ones near the end of the game, as well as interesting weapons to use with high INT.
Pyromancy is great as ever, even better than in DS1 imo. Viable in PvP too (somewhat... depends on how much of a dick you are of spamming toxic mist/forbidden suns... but you get flame weapon too).
Miracles are great for PvE, for PvP mostly buffs.
Hexes own game balance in the ass and should be erased from existence. Wtf why even add same homing spells and missiles as sorceries but stronger, faster and in black?

Makes me want to fully upgrade Vestaldt's set just to rock with that Dark resistance. Great looking armor too, if not for dumb cape and wacky helmet.

yeaa no. it sucks if you want to do anything else for first 2/3 of the game than stand in front of enemy and spam soul arrows. if you dont mind that you will have in first 2 hours of game around 60 souls arrows and 15 great soul arrows which is enough to clear the hole level and than rape the boss. sorcery even without hexes is easy mode.

What the hell is wrong with this thing? Damage higher than ultra greatsword, but you need lower strength? Only 16 weight? Upgrades with regular titanite? Wat
STR scaling of A, B for STR and B with lightning after infusion
And you can poke with it behind a shield!
Gotta try it out against someone.

I wanted Syan's first but turned out you need crazy 25 DEX to wield it. Why so much DEX for a polearm? Hnh

I meant compared to Miracles and Hexes. Sorcery is still better than Melee.

Random Are you talking about human effigies? Yeah, you don't get that -- just your human form restored.

I assumed you meant humanity as in human form.

Also, the Milfanito (if you save all 3) can help you turn human when you are out of effigies. It's in the weird room that you can only enter while Hollow (in Shrine of Amana).

So... yeah.

5, if you count the ones that cost 8k to repair and break when dead or petrified.

Then again, I spent this last NG run 90% or higher human until Nashandra.

What the fuck were they thinking? Those curse orbs are just too obnoxious. "damage because damage, also, max hp reduction lolololol"

Syan's is more viable in PvP because of glitchy phantom range hitbox fuckups. It's borderline unfair at times with its 3 hit stunlock too.
