It looks like each glowing segment of the hour glass is around 10 minutes. That's still too long imo.

Looking good! Nice to see much hated wheel skeletons are still in.

That fatso in dark wood map seems mean to me, their charge reminded me of orc charging Gothic 2.

some npc dialogues and items descriptions

>buff that int turns into dex temporarily
>homing fireball
>anti-pyromancy buff
>dark orb that drains stamina on impact zone
>twop that reduces the max hp of the user, might be ranged?
>miracles and hexes both under faith much like sorceries and pyromancies for int

>ring that restores users hp but breaks after user takes certain amount of damage
>cling ring 2.0
>way of blue covenant ring
>darkwraith? covenant ring
>green blossoms are "exceptionallly rare"
>torches don't last forever
>Token of Fidelity for assisting payers via the large white soap, used to restore the host's health
>Token of Spite gained by killing a host via red soap or red orb, possibly a measure of Sin

>greataxe "sends foes flying"
>catalysts that specialize in sorceries or pyromancy
>smaller shields once again are easier to parry with, but also "make it particularly easy
to deliver critical hits after parrying"
>shields that excel against miracles or spells
>a unique dex-scaling greatsword from "the East" - could just be murakumo again
>katanas have "great weight" apparently

Hexes:
>Dark pursuers clone
>Pyromancy reflection
>Attack that empties stamina bar of those hit
>Poison mist clone
>AOE heaviness

An elementary hex.
>Fires several orbs of darkness.
and
>A hex passed down by the Galio the Hexer.
>Fires a weighty orb of darkness.
>The orb releases a shockwave on impact,
>draining the stamina of its target.

and you can invade darkwraiths players as a darkwraith

plus some covenant where players hunt for blood of undeads

>"no" gesture
>"allow me" gesture

New locations:

>Volgen
>Osteria
>Lindeldt
>Olaphis
>Melfia

It seems that ds2 takes place thousand years after first game with linking the fire ending as a cannon

the healing animations/speed is a definite :incline: , not sure about whites healing with estus, though... and that pinwheel-like boss +room full of wheelie skellies... me like!

White phantoms being able to heal with estus is basically a nerf to gankers (as long as the host drinking doesn't heal them), especially since the drink animation is slower and it now heals over time. And in PvE I don't really think phantoms being able to chug estus makes it easier. I wonder if black phantoms can estus too, though...

Other highlights: Wheel skeletons! yay! And that greatsword from the second video had an amazing moveset.

From finally went and did it. A boss fight that's a giant skeleton on a spiked chariot with skeleton minions, goddamn.

-edit
Doh, not bonewheels. I was thinking of a different boss shown in the demo. It was the same lich but he's not on his chariot and is surrounded by bonewheels. Still badass though.

Medium sized, Japanese game company does cool, epic, western fantasy stuff better than mega million, western game companies. Smh.

Something seems...off. I'm not sure if its just the video but everything seem a lot faster. I hope they are not trying to "improve" the pacing of the game.
The combat pacing is indeed faster, more like it was in Demon's Souls. Sounds fine to me since Demon's had better combat than Dark Souls 1.

Actually, I think it's just the swing speed of weapons that has gotten faster, but the pause between each swing is also slightly longer compared to Dark souls 1. Demon's Souls had faster animations overall.

You're right about that, DS2 actually has a new stat called Agility. Not sure what all it affects, but I'm guessing stuff like attack, dodge and sprint speed.

Quick question: Are there actually invincibility frames during rolldodge or does your hitbox just shrink during the animation? 'coz when fighting the bell gargoyles, if you roll sideways but up the roof, the gargoyles horizontal swing will most definitley get you...

İt is just shrinking while rolling, but we were invincile during riposte, backstab which DS2 fixes. No more invincibility! (till hackers got their hands on it :P)

Yes, in Dark Souls rolling has invincibility frames, it's not just a shrinking hitbox. That's why we can dodge Wrath of the Gods by rolling into it, for example.

DaS2 starts to resemble a completely different beast than both DaS and DeS.

I just hope that I will not be forced to co-op some bosses.

The players in those videos were horrid. Also, the white outline of summoned players was way too bright. Though, that might be the point - easy detection by an invader.
