You know how it goes, best game ever (until next AAA production comes out, i guess), i cried, great cinematic, blablabla.

Given the current state of the game industry and journalism, how bad do you guys think this will be? Is anyone here getting this?

Boy, these seem to come at least twice a month or something. Going by popular gaming journalism websites you'd think gaming (and especially the AAA market) wasn't in dire straits and more or less mostly shit.
Not interested since not console peasant, but I doubt it'll sell very well.

Why would anyone want to "PLAY" this "Interactive Movie" instead of re-watching The Road (or reading the bloody book!) for 10 times?

This looks exactly like The Road, with zombies and some popamole shooting.

At least Bioshlock Infinite didn't rip off a movie for its setting.

This game almost feels like:

1. Some guy at Naughty Dog watched The Road and said "hey we can write our own fan fiction of "a man and a child travelling in post-apocalyptic America'!"
2. And a second guy said "And we'll add some zombies into the mix!"
3. And a third guy said "we'll name our zombie 'mushroom zombie' which will TOTALLY make this game's setting UNIQUE!"

edit: Personally I'm waiting for David Cage's pre-teen girl game starring Willem Dafoe as her psychiatrist.

Well I just tried out my review copy. :troll:

Cinematic? Yes. So fucking what?
Anyway, I didn't play much yet, so I can only say a few words about the gameplay: shooter, with stealth and survivor elements. Meaning you have very little ammo, so most of the time you have to avoid combat, stealth around or try melee stuff.
