I have been watching the game develop for over 16 months now and I believe The Fall will be great. The German version was pushed out the door way too soon if you ask me, but SSE has had nearly 6 months more to polish off the North American/English release. The game will be great. Don't knock it till you try it. It should be out in the next three months (late Q2) here in the USA & UK. Visit the official site for more info:

Is that you Carsten? Desperately in need of links to get a better google pagerank?

The game sucks - it's bug ridden as hell, there was apparently a whole series about the bugs in The Fall in the german GameStar magazine, someone translated it a few weeks back.

I tried it, it sucked. Horrible gameplay, clunky controls, and what little story I could glean from my rusty german made my stomach churn.

God, I hope not. I liked watching MacGyver and seeing him turn shoelaces and a can opener into a nuclear warhead. Hearing Killzig is Richard is raping my childhood. Say it isn't true!

The Fall is supposedly out in Sweden if I'm to believe the reviews I've read (one of them was actually the one from PC Games - it came out a month ago or so). I guess I'd better try it. If only to form some kind of honest opinion of it.

Yeah, Killzig's Richard Dean Anderson. I was pretty surprised when I found out a couple of years ago, too, but it's pretty cool to have an actual celebrity in our community.

I can too. Killy's got some great stories about his old mime days.

It is NOT out in Sweden. We´ll have to wait for the English release.

Killzig is MacGyver? Oh man, you learn something everyday just by visiting the Codex!

Oh? They got the reviews a month ago, but it's not out yet? So the swedish reviewer played the german version with all the bugs and still landed a eighties-score? God, I'm worried about my country. Ah well, not much of a loss. I can wait. A lot.

The magazine I work for (PC Gaming World, splendid at times and horrifying at times) reviewed the game back in february. It landed a 84%-score and was called by the reviewer "the role model when it comes to quest design and exciting thrills", if I'm not mistaken. That was the closure of the review at least. God, I wish I could've done that review instead of writing a column about sport games.

Ah well, like I said it's no big deal. I'll probably wait for it to reach the holy land of budget price tags anyway.

.... what? Still in April Fool's leftovers? :?
Not that I know of. And trust me, I'd know. Those leftovers stink like hell.

Maybe it's an April Fifth-joke though. I dunno. Don't really care. Oh yeah, I'm easygoing. :)

Anybody want my autograph? Hyperboy's mom got my name tattooed on her labia... and yes, she does live up to the hyper moniker.

Ok, I'm german and still waiting for a classic german RPG. Sacred and Restricted Area are boring Diablo clones. Gothic somehow was not my taste but still the best german try.

I bought The Fall the day it was released and gave it back the day after. Now i bought the Extended Version and have to say it's not flawless ( chunky controls but after some hours you can get used to ) but turns an unplayable into an entertaining game.

There's no more reason to stay away from the Extended Version of The Fall if you want to play a new non-linear post apocalyptic RPG.

Is Hyperboy's mom one of your groupies Killzig? Shouldn't you be busy making Stargate episodes?
