Who even gives these fucks the authority to hand out these awards? As a long-time gamer year after year I disagree with 95% of the nominations. Let's see: [Link removed. would rather not give them traffic]
Game journalists. Who are well known among actual gamers (all 10% of us) to be in the publisher's pockets or a total joke whom criticize games with an approach based in zero investigative, analytic or journalistic integrity. Sometimes the game isn't even "reviewed", just used to push their disconnected and completely irrelevant pseudo-intellectual political agenda. OK.
FF7 remake is best game evar! Fuck off. Just like 99% of remakes this shit industry keeps shitting out, whether you like it or not the original is vastly superior and way more award-worthy. It actually achieved feats not accomplished before at the time. And that game is old, old news to the point that people forget what it is actually like and think this trash remake is anywhere near as noteworthy. This is what we've come to. Couldn't they have just stuck to the usual joke of giving the cinematic naughty dog type games the awards? At least they weren't abysmal "remakes".
