You've got to ask yourself one question: Will it kill WoW?

Ironic that casters are infinite machine guns and it's the meatheads who have extra mechanics to manage.

Pick elementalist. You now have 4 attunements. That means you effectively have 20 weapon skills you swap between in sets of five plus your defense skill, 3 utility skills and your elite skill. There's ALWAYS going to be several skills off cooldown and you'll have to figure out which one to use and where to position it (since lots of them are walls, AoEs or cones) and if you can survive the channeling time to cast it.

Depending on their weapon selectionand attunement there's a total of 64 different elementalist skills besides the defense/utility/elite.

Speaking of walls, guardian forcefields are insane gank tools in certain places in WvW.

Already have. Guess what? It's still not a 1/10th of the hundreds of skills available in GW1.

Managed to run into an enemy far outside my level. LOL RETARDED DEATH MECHANICS. Can't even call it death now, all that happens is you fall down and slowly regain life while still being able to hurt enemies. If an ally is near they can help you regain life faster. No need for res or any of that tough shit, GW2 has you covered.

Ironic that you didn't understand the game system after having played it.

All I need to understand is that it's infinitely dumber than GW1. GW2 is just a crappy action game combined with MMOSHIT and horrible controls.

So I went to the wiki and counted the skills for GW1 elementalist and GW2 elementalist.

Elementalist in GW1 had 149 skills Elementalist in GW2 has 145 skills counting kits and weapons but not chains. It's also not counting the racial skills and racial elites, since those are PvE only.

Gee, that's not 1/10th all right.

Contrary to popular beleif I have nothing against people disliking GW2. But when you come into the thread and spout shit that can be easily proven to be a complete fabrication by a google search and less than 10 minutes of reading, I call you on your bullshit.

Forgetting that you could have a secondary in GW1? Yeah, must be. Have you even played it?

Aside from the number of skills, the worst thing is that the skills are just plain worse. Take a look at the mesmer skills in GW1 then look at the ones in GW2. I try not to break down in tears, but it should be impossible for anyone who played GW1 to avoid doing so.

i've been there with gw1 since the time of the first fugly pvp videos where the really shitty models all used male skeletons. before any of the preview weekends or game launch, and i can play gw2 just fine without crying. stop being such a gigantic pussy.

Wow, enemies literally respawn right next to you. Thanks MMOSHIT mechanics, nice to get one-shotted by an enemy you already killed. Perhaps it's fair though since players can do the same.

You should make up your mind man, either you get one-shotted, or the game is piss-easy.

It's piss-simple, and enemies spawning ontop of you is just piss-poor mechanics. If would different if enemies were, say, reviving one another (*cough* GW1 *cough*), but that's not the case

So how do they revive each others when the zone has been cleared? They suddenly run in? Oh wait, that's respawning. GW1 wasn't an MMO, so no surprise things like that could work.

Anything known about a security breach at Anet?

I keep getting email notification that someone tried to change the password, now the email address on my beta account. Not that I care, because I didn't buy it, but deffo fishy.

I had that as well. Not a security breach at ANet, I think we're both victims of Blizzard hacked database, I am getting this shit to both of my Blizz-associated emails, of which one isn't associated with ANet in any ways. And no, it's not open beta related either, since I applied to it with 5 accs, and of them, only 2 are being bombarded. Also, GF is using a non-WoW acc and isn't getting any scams.

And yeah, they can request the PW change, you know, they enter your email and say "OMG PW FORGOTTEN" and then you might or might not click, either way some morons will authorize and they'll gain their accs.

So... Yeah, I'd say it's Blizz-side.

Running in from another area isn't respawning. Appearing out of nowhere right behind your back is respawning. I shouldn't need to explain these things.

I'm glad we agree that GW1 was a better game.
