And so the Terror is over. I cheated a bit in the final fight, by knowing that only magic worked. I was surprised an interdimensional god went down so easily, though. One "shrinkage", some four Healing spells (I had used up the First Aid Kits I brough with me after fighting those annying fire elementals) and six Obsidian Shards was all it took.
All in all an good game, but the ending was a bit abrupt.
It took me a while to like the game, since it felt a bit closer to an Adventure game than most CRPGs I've played.
Some tweaking was also needed to enjoy the game. The Soundblaster sound was really bad, but Roland sound was good enough. Music was so-so, and it annoyed me that I couldn't turn off music without also turning off the sound effects.
Melee combat was effective throughout most of the game, and only against Belthegor did I use offensive spells. Most enemies didn't do much damage when I wore the Samurai armour. I hardly used firearms either, since they felt underpowered. If I should replay it, I would try a game where I use firearms instead of melee. Relying on magic is just too frustrating, though.
A few items I never found a use for. Do these have any use in the game?
Sun Glasses
Ghetto Blaster
Cans of Oil
Wand
Demon Mask (does it increase your combat prowess or reduce the enemies'?
Game was too hard for the RPS guys:

Not surprising when you jump through the first portal you see and start pounding the cosmic toads with your bare hands.
A much better retro review is available here:
