I've taken a liking to Rean. He's been steadily just fucking annoying throughout 1-3, but I guess there's finally a little bit of character growth, which is always good. I think it's good for the character with the most screentime to be relatively apolitical and objective, because it opens up just so many possibilities for doing different things all around the world. Yeah, I wanted him to join

, but it honestly makes more sense that he didn't. It's good writing.
Yeah, he's still worse than almost every other character, but still better than Lloyd, who's just about Crossbell. I recall Rean saying he'd sacrifice the whole world for a friend in dialog (I think he was talking to Altina?). That's the kind of stuff I want to hear from the main character, I'm a sappy fag on occasion.

He is actually relatively quiet about sacrificing himself throughout CS4, which is coherent with him knowing that he needs to hid from his friends about what he is really thinking....

He talks about wanting to die in his felt special bond moment with Laura...

McBurn in the fortress is easy. I don't think I'm overleveled, but this not providing a challenge, at all, on Hard, so I must be. I expected to get annihilated, only lost Emma to the super-burn.
Thoughts on McBurn: Same deal as before regarding villains- extremely interesting as individuals, but just not threatening enough. They all have good reasons for doing what they're doing. Give me at least ONE completely unhinged, unreasonable person.
Also, very cool plotline about divergent laws and some interesting 4th wall breaking, want to see where that leads. I like how every game since Sky just goes deeper and deeper.

Crow - agreed. But Jusis? He sucks, there are better casters and better fighters than him, the only good thing he has is probably Platinum Shield.

I also took Lloyd and Duvalie, while happily dumping most of new class 7 on the bench. Juna on the deepest bench possible of course.
