I meant more interior rooms at taverns, inn's and such where you can see the environments and talk to potential NPCs and other functions. The outer\inner baily of castles would be neat as well. It appears the entire game is played on the main map screen so you never go inside any buildings...correct?

Since it's Strategy not RPG game having interiors would be filler, I am surprised how game made for 1/30 of western tittle can look so good. :incline:

According to their own website it is listed as "Legends of Eisenwald is an original mix of RPG and strategy".

And I agree it looks fantastic from a graphics and art standpoint. I dont want to bad mouth the game due to not having interiors, I still backed it and think it looks very good and looking forward to it.

Commisar Draco, yes, like Divine Magic! If people believe that a prayer can bring them something, it might as well happen. And people in medieval times believed in these things much more. Also, a witch can easily scare someone and paralyze for a moment if a person believes that such a thing is possible. So our magic is more like medieval beliefs, not true magic. If there was a better word for it, we would use it...

I haven't had a chance to check out the beta yet but was wondering how the design for unit losses/replacements work. What I mean is, does the game promote heavy no-loss strategies like Kings Bounty/HoMM, or is it more expected to lose and replace units?

I'm definitely looking forward to this one. Aterdux seems like some pretty passionate bros.

I believe Levi Strauss coined the term "symbolic efficiency" to describe that phenomenon. Hardly a good term for a video game though...

This looks very promising.
Hopefully it will be available on GOG, or at least not require a "client" or constant internet connection to play?

Snerf, we are currently thinking regarding the hits system which will influence units losses/replacement. In any case, since our units are not stacks, LoE will lean more towards no-loss strategies... A good strategy will be like in Discord Times where you try to keep your "core units" and sometimes hire some low-level units that you don't intend to replace.

Octavius, It will be on GOG for sure, to get there we don't need to jump hoops like on Greenlight :) And no, no internet connection will be required to play but it might be useful for some achievments on Steam, for example.

Cosmo, "symbolic efficiency" sounds like a very fun term, but yes, it is probably too much for a computer game. Mainly, we just want to stay away from "standard" magic, too often mages can wipe out entire armies single-handedly, that wasn't the case even in Lord of the Rings :)

Well, it's not that we were looking for that Russian businessman, he found us himself :) He is not going to publish the game, he will help us out to finish development. Those of you who played beta must have seen it coming, beta is still pretty rough. It's much better than what we released in November but still... Let the flaming begin? :)

Why does every brainfart that comes out of Inxile get a new newspost (that update 18 was pretty much useless rubbish), when a far more detail and newsworthy information comes out of Aterdux and i've gotta go to page 4 to find the most recent newspost?

Anyhow, update here:

Delays are unfortunate, but good explanations solve a lot of problems.

Haven't played the beta yet, was waiting for the full thing.

Interesting about the executive producer - who is not just a producer but in fact an investor. Aterdux had $83k from Kickstarter; after commissions and rewards we can say, something like $50k; that lasted them ten months. Now they are hiring several new people and will work for another five months, which means this producer is putting in a similar or little less amount of money in the game. All fine with me, $80k was always going to be a small amount and I'm happy they get to spend more time on the game, but it'll be interesting to compare community reactions to this to Logic Artists.

Waiting for preorders to come live. Nearer the release, I guess.
