The Outer Worlds was originally announced at the end of 2018. Over two years of excitement, disappointment and apathy that end today with the release of Murder on Eridanos, the game's second and final expansion DLC. Obsidian want you to know that this is a colorful and zany murder mystery, which the silly musical launch trailer they've produced makes clear.
There are a handful of reviews for Murder on Eridanos. As indicated by last week's previews, it is indeed a much more dialogue-heavy, character-driven experience than the previous expansion. Some of the reviewers note that the story has a few interesting twists, but despite the option to choose which suspect to accuse at the end, it apparently always go through the same beats. Combat is the same old stuff. That translates to a slightly higher review score average than Peril on Gorgon. Here's the list of reviews:
