This is a major plus though.
Why? Just because bioware and fallout 4 made it literally the gay version of a Dionysian orgy (minus the thought and significance) doesn’t mean it can’t be done well.

Saying they didn’t do it because it’s been done before shows that they either don’t know how to do it right, or are fishing for a way to excuse laziness.

Has any game done romance well?

- Witcher series, though it helps if you already know the characters from the books.
- OG mass effect was decent.
- DA origins.

Sometimes it gets a little mellowdramatic or 70’s porno for my taste, but these were well done in general. And even if you don’t like any past attempts, wouldn't you want developers aspire to make one you do like?

I like Liara as a character but the romance isn't exactly stunning. It's simple and effective for what it is. Not really what I'd class as the best romance ever in a game.

DA:O? I barely remember the romances from that game. Don't you just throw gifts at them til they fuck you? Again, not getting 'best romance ever' vibes.

Witcher 2 and 3 have some memorable scenes but the 'game' aspects aren't very well developed. They boil down to binary yes/no choices, really.

ME: It's a solid softcore self-insert porno with 3D rendered alien nipples, so that's cool by me.

DA: gift and saying the right things, and also choosing which one you wanna fug. It's not the best romance ever. No game has the best any kind of story ever, so that shouldn't be shocking.

Witcher: Sure, that's about right.

But my mind has slipped. I forgot the actual best romance in gaming history: https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/286-sexlab-defeat/

You jest, but that mod in some ways introduces a far more dynamic and realistic system than any of the games we've discussed so far.

There are tons of ARPGs that let you romance your companions. That’s not the itch they’re trying to scratch. I think there was an interview where Tim or Leonard mentioned that they’re not huge fans of the typical romance mini game, where you play therapist to your companions until they sleep with you.

Also, Obsidian’s recent efforts at romances (Deadfire) were indeed quite bad even by the standards of CRPGs. It makes sense to me that Tim and Leonard would want to focus on things that their team can potentially do well rather than things that their team definitely does poorly.

Looks like pcgaymer copy-pasted same article from a month ago into their mag. Only a new(?) concept art:

Isn't just a known fact that these so-called mediums are simply advertising avenues for companies? Reviews are bought and paid for, previews most certainly written by the same guy.

Hypocrisy? You mean like crying that you get bullied for the games you like and then go on and call people retards for liking games you don't like?

Also, kill yourself for liking Skyrim. Just because you like that game makes you a prime candidate for gene pool removal.

Skyrim is one of the best games ever made. It is so good that the whole industry strives to emulate it. Even japanese faggots try to copy it, even Shigeru fucking Miyamoto tried to copy it with Zelda. Even Hideo Kojima with MGSV... Everyone was mesmerized by Skyrim because it was fucking briliant. Even CDPR made Witcher 3 the way it was, despite it being a storyfag game, just because they adored Skyrim...

The whole fucking world adores Skyrim. Even butthurt hipsters adore Skyrim, like yourself. Come out of the closet, admit it is your most played game, we won't judge!

And the whole time i've never seen more than the first dragon cuz all i did was try to fix this shit with mods, didnt work.

So... in the end i had more fun with a broken medieval Rust Clone where i played a black Midget named Günther:

Well, they did all get to see the same information. Nobody actually played the game themselves at the event.

"The good old days of the XBAWKZ 3SHIDDY" -THE OFFICIAL XBOX MAGAZINE

Makes you really hopeful for this game.

On another note, who the fuck is reading these 1st party magazines/sites? Do people actually pay to be advertised to?
