Is there any info on the party mechanic?
Will there be any special commands or tactical interface to use them in an appealing manner?
Like if there is going to be a party system, I would like to be able to easily position them behind walls or provide covering fire ala xcom style.
Otherwise it really detracts from the first-person style and adds on a needless tacked on system from isometric rpgs.
The worst case scenario would be if they are like meatsacks like Skyrim.

Not that I know of.
I'm pretty sure this game will just be Mass Effect + poverty - alien tits. So it should be fine.
