Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I've seen now multiple reviewers complaining about unstable performance on PC. Maybe related to a setting or the Epic DRM?

Especially considering performance on consoles is smooth.
No shopping cart but has DRM. :hero:

Does it? Last time i checked EGS didn't have DRM and it was up to the developers to implement their own DRM if they wanted.

Also someone contacted Obsidian last month and they said it will be DRM-free:

One of the writer for Game Radar is on r/game doing some ''AMA'' about the game. https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/dlhj87/the_outer_worlds_review_thread/f4q8wud/

His opinion about the game so far: ''Yeah. My personal score would probably be a 6 or 7, but mainly because I love the world exploration aspect of Fallout games and this doesn't have much of that at all. If they could've made a more refined combat system, similar to Fallout 4, that would've gone a long way in improving it too, but overall it's pretty good. Not my game of the year, but it has definitely scratched that first-person RPG itch for a while.''

His main problem with the game is the combat and overrall gameplay. It's janky. But he said that the writting is brillant , and probably the best part of the game. (https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/dlhj87/the_outer_worlds_review_thread/f4qk7a8/)

Hello Stranger who I never met before! Please shill me explain to me how!

https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/pc-games

Looks like the price went up to $5/month.

It always was, after the first month. But I'm still seeing "$1 to join" here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/#join

And it's $1 in the desktop app as well. What do you see?

Yep, also only had to pay 1 buck. And I re-subscribed.

Got it for 1 € for the first month just 20 minutes ago. Pre-loading the game right now.

Epic has store drm. Outer Worlds does not have drm on its own.

Edit: At least i've seen Epic DRM is listed on various *piracy* sites on other games.

Most alarming thing that I've encountered in some review is that game is ~30 hours long and author was a quite throughout for a half of his run. He gives scary 16h mark for a "blaze-through main plot".

Boyarski and Cain said it from the start. They didn't have huge pool of dollarydoos to make 100+ hours game.

Does "Game Pass" allow you to go offline though? Will be paying full price in Microsoft Store if not, which does allow that option. I'm assuming a $1 subscription service would have a catch like that.

No way I'm getting it on Epic Pooh.

The console versions are 30 FPS aren't they? Could be different expectations

How does offline mode work?
Most games available in the Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) plan on your Windows 10 device support offline play but check the details of the game to make sure yours is supported. Games from the Xbox Game Pass catalog can be played while the PC is offline, but for no more than 30 days before the PC must reconnect to the internet to verify an active subscription. Most games with a campaign mode will be playable offline, but games with network co-op or multiplayer features will not work while you’re offline. While playing offline, some features, such as the ability to purchase additional items, will not be available.

I have a better idea for you: take the high seas instead of worrying about any of this bullshit.

This focus on Fallout comparisons is gonna be super confusing for the few casuals out there who'll take notice of this game. For most people, I'm fairly certain Fallout means -first and foremost- post-apocalypse. I haven't followed this game closely but I doubt it's anything near that.
I understand why they do it, since Obsidian (& all) have decided to market it as "Fallout but better than Beth stuff hehe", but it's ironically gonna hit them back pretty bad I believe.
When I see the shit that Prey got for not being Prey, I don't see how all this fallout talk can end well.

Especially without an open world.
PS : No open world is probably this game's best argument for me so far though.
Fallout to younger people means a first person roleplaying game

This game looks like they cut segments of maps from the star wars knights of the old republic and made into their own game.

Does anybody actually know of Epic Store has DRM built in, or is it game specific?

Because if Obsidian/Microsoft chooses not to have DRM, then isn't that actually better than Steam? and more comparable to GoG.
