Incline The RPG Codex Chronicles Part I - Age of Decline

I was going to have Richard Garriott as an Obi-Wan analogue, a reclusive hermit that's fallen from the graces of the RPG industry but tries to impart what knowledge and skill he still has to the party. But then Todd Howard blasts him with the :decline: ray, giving him Alzheimer's and leading him to believe that the next Ultima RPG should be a Facebook game. This was well before the actual Kickstarter, though I guess nobody on here was expecting anything decent there in the first place.

Don't be sad Roxor, you did your best and was really a close call...

Es alright. In the end, I think it even sounds better with Root's version anyway :M

It has that... "radio" feel, like Orson Welles reading out the War of the Worlds or something.

Wow Part 1 burned my retinas clean off. The hottest fires burn out the quickest I suppose, for 1:11 is very short yet too much awesomeness packed in, but still left me wanting more..

I like it a lot.
Had to watch it 3 times to find MCA RTFM hehe.
Really a great (and subtle) easter egg.
Looking for it felt like a fun minigame.

Is actually a sleaze trick I learned, instead of making a 2 minute video that throws everything in your face, make a 1 min one, that they'll keep replaying to fully see everything.

:insert joke about him not sounding like Matt: :P

I gotta say, this video is cool and all but don't believe those lies. It's nothing but pure loyalist propaganda. Chaos isn't decline, chaos is incline. Those called "traitors" are the real old-school brigade, who fought in the great war ten thousand years in the past and still live and fight fiercely today on the same legions, with the same weapons and armor. As a true representation of the Codex, they might look evil on the outside but deep inside what they want is a better future for RPGs humanity, the same future Lord British the false emperor promised before he grew complacent. But instead, humanity is subject to worshipping RPGs that are good for what they are an enthroned corpse, and live in constant fear of expressing their beliefs lest they are met by the end of rhine Inquisition. The consoletards humans of the imperium just live one day after the other and forbid themselves to think, being happy with any shit that is thrown at them because it's 10/10 GOTY - IGN "the Emperor wills so".

And what is the Kickstarter wave as if not a succesful Black Crusade? One day the legions will finally march on Terra to reclaim their birthright and secure the future humanity deserves, much like all those kickstarters are showing that there is still a market for true RPGs.

Him on Terra asks that you die in his name, Them on the Warp ask that you live in their glory. For Chaos! For :incline:

From what little I know about Warhammer 40k, wouldn't the codex be like the Eldar? An ancient race that has watched everything turn to shit and sees the inevitability of it all?

Of course then we'd be gay space elves, so maybe it doesn't work.

If anyone wants to continue amateur hour, could someone do a badass impression of Hellsing's The Major's "I like War" speech?
