Anyone buy Bully? I sort of want to play it...and at $4 it's tempting but I've read that it's a shitty port.

Call of Durpy: Black Durps isn't even on sale and it's still ranked 11th.

It's still pretty new. And nowhere near as shitty as Spore.
Discount on MW is hilarious though.

Just tried Lugaru for about 40ish minutes. Dated graphics but fine for an indie game made by four people. Game play is really fun and fluid (karate bunnies) and it's pretty funny to see rabbits knife and beat the crap out of each other. They're making a sequel and documenting the Alpha on their YouTube channel -- it looks fantastic.

Hmmm... another fairly disappointing day. Good titles but mediocre deals. Mass Effect has been 75% off before. Alpha Brotocal is $7.50... again... Deathspank only 50% off and not in a package... I might get Darksiders at $10 but I dunno...

Bought OFP:DR but I now think I shouldn't have. Bah.

Bros, is it any good, or should I rage?

I'd /rage because it just looks like a typical military shooter to me but... I haven't played it.

Hmmm. Tempted to pick up Blood Bowl LE at $20, but then I see http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1603977 this weirdness and I'm not sure. And limited activations. Bleh.

Not sure on Darksiders either, and I'm considering buying Mass Effect 2 for PC though maybe I should just wait another year and hope they release a super duper edition with all the DLC bundled.

Had two of the games I was wanting show up on daily deals, but not at prices I really wanna pick 'em up at. Thus far don't seem to be spending nearly as much as last Christmas sale, but I guess part of that is because I'm a Steamy retard and buy so many games when they get cheap that there's less selection for me in future deals.

Hmmm, looking at Alpha Brotocol, Patrician and Risen from today's stuff. Anybody want to give me some Yea/Nays on these?

As for Darksiders, I wouldn't bother unless you really like that sort of game. It was fun enough for one playthrough but has no real replay value unless you want to go all aspie over the secrets and achievements. Worth buying only if you got nothing else you want to play and don't foresee anything else showing up by the end of the sale.

If you have played Gothic you should have an idea if you will like Risen, if you liked Gothic II/I you'll most likely enjoy Risen, since they are extremely similar. Good game over all, though slightly worse in the end when it pretty much goes full dungeon crawler, though still enjoyable.

Alpha Protocol: only if you don't mind mediocre stealth/combat and not particularly inspired level design. Personally, I liked it for its, uhm, "atmosphere", the fact that it tried to do something different, also some skills were nice, as well as some cosmetic C&C. Not sure if you're into those things. It's a very mixed bag overall.
Risen: it's basically a p. enjoyable Gothic-spinoff, so yea. The final battle is too platformer-ish, though, kinda silly for a game like this.

Risen is great, but I have a feeling it'll get cheaper than $15 before too long. Also the Steam version has Tages with limited activations which pushes it further down my 'to buy at X price' list. Alpha Protocal has okay RPG 'interludes' like Mass Effect but, as noted above, the game play can be awful at times and the AI is broken.

At $20 Blood Bowl LE is a great deal. They fixed a lot of the crap that plagued the first one. Great game.

Yeah, but I bought the first game at $30 and I'm still a bit bitter over that. Continuing to have limited activations DRM also chaps my ass.

I dunno. Right now I'm considering Darksiders, Operation Flashpoint (At $3 what the hell), and maaaaaaybe BBLE. I think I will wait on Mass Effect 2 for a DLC complete pack marked down, since there's no way in hell I'll be buying the DLC individually from Bioware.

The thing with ME is that I can't see it not being on sale again for at least the 50% off it is now so might as well wait it out. ME was $5 once so I'm sure there might be a bundle for $15 eventually as we get closer to ME3. I don't think the DLC will ever be on Steam since Bioware has it's own digital storefront -- maybe it is on sale now via that platform?

Is DeathSpank so shitty that it doesn't even warrant consideration?
