The Indie Story Pack seems pretty good for the price. I've been interested in Puzzle Agent, Jolly Rover and Yet It Moves. Gish I've not heard of but it seems pretty decent. Recettear I already have and it sucks, but whatever.
Sure. Why the hell not. :M

Thinking about the indie story pack and Kane & Lynch. I already own AYIM and Gish, but Puzzle Agent I'm sorta interested in, Jolly Rover is an adventure game with a fairly decent metacritic score which might be ok, and Recettear is anime shit but it's in a bundle for $5.

And Kane & Lynch is probably dumb and is supposedly super short but $5.

Edit: And for those bundles I might try to get in on a Just Cause 2 and/or GTA4 episodes bundle if I can manage it/the price is right.

I sort of bought into a Puzzle Quest pack, didn't have Paypal so I just traded a guy a $5 game for one -- lost $1.50 but oh well.

Puzzle Quest 2's worth $5, no biggy.

Haven't played any of my swag yet apart from dicking with Brotocol's performance, but I booted everything up and looked at the menu. Recettear is retarded as hell. Menu does not support mouse. Ok, so use arrow keys to scroll, alright, now how do I select? Space? Enter? Nope, Z. And how do I get back? Escape? Nope, X. Fucking goons and nips.

I thought about getting Protocol but just read too many negative things -- maybe I'll reconsider in a month at the big Holiday sale. Only other thing I might be pissed about as a pack exclusive is Just Cause 2 but hell I don't even have a DX10 graphics card so it would be a purchase for the future. And lol @ Kane & Lynch 2 at $5 already. Garbage.

MY GARBAGE NOW BRO. Brotocol deserves a lot of the negative things said about it, but I still enjoyed it more than NWN2 or KotOR2 so it seemed worth $8 to me.

And there's no reason to think that Just Cause 2 will be a pack exclusive, they've had games that were part of the regular deal in a pack deal the last two days. Very well might be the case with that. Speaking of leaks, there's a leak about INDIE GAME PACKS which I'll post for you bros.

- Indie Air Pack: Altitude, DogFighter, Flotilla, Gratuitous Space Battles, Plain Sight
- Indie Clever Pack: Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time, Eufloria, Iron Grip: Warlord, VVVVVV, World of Goo
- Indie Pulse Pack: Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, Bit Trip Beat, The Polynomial, Rhythm Zone
- Indie Puzzle Pack: Cogs, Droplitz, Puzzle Dimension, Shatter, Tidalis
- Indie Story Pack: And Yet It Moves, Gish, Puzzle Agent, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, Jolly Rover

Just beat Sam and Max espisode 1. I referred to a guide three times, and two of them turned out to be things I already tried, just out of order. Using the helmet is the only one I didn't think of, though of course looking at it now it's obvious.

I'm really tempted by the current indie pack, I might get it at the last minute. the others ones, meh. Maybe the one with World of Goo in it.

I'd say that episode four of the first season of Sam and Max is the best and I'm up to S02E02 currently. They visit the white house and so much hillarious stuff happens.

Air pack is pretty good, though three of the games are primarily multiplayer. Still, Flotilla and Gratuitous Space Battles are both neat.
The music game pack is good as well if you don't have Audiosurf and would like to try such games. If you've already got Audiosurf it might be worth skipping although the only other game in the bundle I've played is Beat Hazard.
Might pick up the puzzle pack myself even though the only two games I don't own from it are Puzzle Dimension and Tidalis. Puzzle Dimension looks kinda cool and I've heard Tidalis is really great, so I might go for $2.50 each.

Friday's deals are pretty nondescript. Once again the indie pack is a great deal (it's the 'clever' one today) for $5 and I'll probably pick it up. Passed on the other b/c I didn't see myself playing half the games in it.

Burnout Paradise $15, Dawn of War $13.60, Machinarium $5 (they should have put that in an indie pack), Tropico 3 Gold $7.50, Torchlight $5, Empire Total War $15, Arma 2 Arrowhead $20, Blur $15, and the aforementioned $5 indie pack.

Multi-packs include: Freedom Force (lol), Total War, Portal, and Dawn of War.

Looks like nothing for me today. Tropico 3 Gold is a great deal at that price but I already own it and the expansion. Dawn of War 2 Gold is also a good price but I already own 'em. Oh well.

Is Tropico 3 good? I played the demo and it just struck me as a themed version of Sim City (note that I haven't played a Sim City type game since the original in... oh God... 1993ish?). That being the case I'll probably just wait for a Sim City 4 sale.

It's quite good, and not as hard as the original so it's probably a fairly good starting point. It's sort of a themed version of Sim City, but you actually get a score and can have various victory conditions and/or a cutoff point of however many years. The biggest feature in it is the way it handles politics, with different political factions getting happier or angrier depending on what you do, and you want to make a decent portion of your people happy since you primarily keep playing by winning elections.

If you're at all in the mood for a city builder this is a pretty good 'un.

The community is pretty terrible, too. I bought it to play with my friends bu they ended up never playing. The King's Bounty pack (The Legend, Armored Princess, and Crossroads) is an amazing deal for $8.75 although I already have the Legend. Might pick it up. I passed on Tropico 3 -- I'll wait it out to the Holiday sale. Tropico 4 is coming out in April/May of 2011 so I imagine they'll be selling it again to generate interest in the new one. Nothing else jumps out at me today. That new Tomb Raider is $7.50 but I can wait on that one.

The indie pack is another good deal but I don't really have an extensive music library and having 5 games that pretty much rely on it is overkill.

In a way I do not mind the community as long as the game is ok, because I'd rather play with people I know, even from an internet forum, than totally random dudes. Kinda on the fence for this one.

Any Codexers who own the game, or plan to buy it, and who wouldn't mind trying to do Codex games?

I bought Operation Arrowhead. Was waiting for a cheap sale like that fore a while now because I didn't consider it worth paying the standard price, but I'm p. happy with it now.

OA keeps getting put up at ridiculously cheap prices on Steam, and every time I curse myself that I never torrented it to try it out so I could buy it cheap when the next sale came. It just happened again.

16 pages. Indeed the Dex is butthurt about this.

It's a consolidated thread involving all past discussions on Steam deals -- better than the dozen inane threads we get about the latest Bethesda bashfest.

So, guys, is Left for Dead 2 worth 3.50 Euros? The price is suspiciously low.

And is the new Tomb Raider worth 7.50 Euros?

If it's that low, it might be worth a try. Heck, I'm ready to risk it too and try the game with ya!
