Tyranny is going for less than $10, worth it?

You seem to be capable of having fun plying newer Fallouts, so you might enjoy Tyranny as well.

What I didn't like the most - cooldown abilities in combat, poorly thought out enemies scaling (scaling to your level, so combat can get unnecessarily hard on harder difficulties if you don't build your characters for that, but I might be remembering this wrong), cartoony graphic with colour choices resembling old MMO grade games, c&c doesn't matter that much except the colour of your enemies and ending slides, try-hard writing pushing too far.

Wasn't that bad, as I managed to finish the game. It even had some decent moments, but I don't feel like replaying it or recommending it to anyone.

Somewhere, a total stranger is having fun the wrong way. This is an important problem in my life and expressing my displeasure is a good use of my time.

Isn't this whole site, and every other "specialised" one, exactly about voicing displeasure about what other people like? In the form of "you have shit taste", which can be a true statement in itself...

FYI, the JA2 Gold (Steam) version sucks on a technical level. I'd get it from somewhere else if you intend to mess around with 1.13 and whatnot. (Stracciatella should be fine with Gold, and if you want to play vanilla that's the way to go.)

That is if you're not just buying it for hoarding reasons.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
I just finished playing Frog Fractions GotDE, read the guide and the discussions, and I still don't know whether to take anyone seriously on the merits of the DLC. :fuuyeah:

Do you want to play with hairy blob? This game gives blobber a new meaning, and hairs. Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins, party-based RPG-platformer:

«Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins» — is a party based RPG-platformer with hand-drawn 2D graphics. The game takes place in the ancient world, based on the Sumer-Akkadian, Egyptian and ancient Slavic mythology. This world is filled with rival city-states, ancient pagan deities, gloomy dungeons and bizarre monsters. There are no humans in the game. Instead of them characters are represented by various types of anthropomorphic animals (furry).

PLAY FOR THE LIONESSY - THE DEFENDER OF URUK

The main lionessy-character, a citizen of a captured ancient city Uruk, will have to free people of Uruk from slavery. She also will have to save her lover from the tenacious clutches of the underworld goddess Ereshkigal, who is at eternal enmity with her sister, the goddess of fertility Ishtar. Along the way, lionessy will visit neighboring cities, explore the adjacent territories and complete (or not) many smaller quests.

«Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins» complements the mechanics of the 2D-slasher with a unique combat system for a game party of four characters. The game combines 2D-platformer gameplay with the rich features of a party RPG, such as enchanting items, improving skills / classes, distributing roles in a game party, and of course dark magic.

  • A unique combat system for a party of four characters, managed simultaneously as a whole.
  • RPG-component with rich customization of equipment, the choice of suitable classes for team members and 16 playable races.
  • An extensive and interconnected game world with densely populated cities, gloomy dungeons and spacious levels. New abilities gained during the game allow you to get to previously inaccessible corners of the world!
  • The plot and side quests of the game will not leave anyone indifferent.
  • Embedded CCG (collectible card game) built into the main game will complement the main gameplay and allow you to relax between combat and exploration!

Heh, Midway's 2007 FPS BlackSite: Area 51 gets a re-release on Steam, via some publisher named MB Publishing. I guess this was one of the IPs Warner Bros' didn't bother to acquire. From the darkest days of Harvey Smith's career.

I played that thing and don't remember jack shit about it. That period was filled with forgettable popamole fodder and it only gets worse/
It was a moment when devs started making ugly games on purpose, just compare that with PS2-era and earlier games where hardware and technical limits force you to go with style.

Very cool space rogue-like (which you can also play with perma-death turned off). It's "early access," but the game is very much so finishable from start to finish. Developer said he wanted to do early access to fix up any bugs, add a couple more races, and add additional content in general.
