More boom boom shooters.

Relentless Frontier, exploration and mobility-focused, GZDoom Engine-based shooter:

In the 2 minutes of video we only got 2 monster types (the second one is shown for a couple of seconds near the end). I think these guys started the hype a bit too early.

the follow up to Mini Metro is out, there's a bundle that includes both so if you own Mini Metro you can get it at a bigger discount.

Has anyone here played this? Does it add anything worthwile to the mini metro formula or is it just more of the same?

Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth

I've only played for an hour but so far it seems different enough from mini metro, and more refined in some areas
The big differences are traffic management: Your cars bunch up and can congest and there's more things to consider, and placement of things/terrain is more of an issue because you have to deal w/ the various buildings popping along with rivers etc. there's also different end-week tiles, there's the standard bridge but also now a motorway where you can connect one half of the map to another (say there is a green business on one side of town but all the green houses are on the opposite side and things like stop lights or roundabotus to control traffic.

here's a video of someone playing it to get an idea

Glory of the Colosseum is a turn based tactical strategy game set in ancient Rome. Take on the role of a Lanista and lead your gladiators to victory in the Colosseum.

The game features a world map of the Roman Empire and surrounding lands, as well as beautiful handcrafted arenas to battle in.
On the worldmap you can travel throughout the Roman Empire to hire and train gladiators from different cultures and disciplines, invest in equipment to improve your gladiators and give them new abilities and battle in spectacularly staged arenas in the big cities or makeshift arenas at the empire's borders and beyond.
In battles you can experience a deep and innovative combat system that is weighted heavily towards player choice with minimal randomness. Fight other gladiators, slaves, animals and legendary bosses that will prove a real challenge even for veterans of the game.

The glory of the victor will last through the ages and it is yours for the taking.

Key Features:
  • A fresh take on tactical turn based combat with minimal randomness and maximum choice, forget about hit chance and prepare to get tactical.
  • Explore a beautiful worldmap featuring the Roman Empire and beyond.
  • Battle in detailed handcrafted arenas featuring hexgrid tiles for vast strategic possibilities.
  • Unlock various Lanistas to experience different starting points and game altering traits - each game is different.
  • Experience a challenging game where defeat is a possibility and procedural roguelike elements keep it fresh.
  • Hire and train gladiators with different attributes, disciplines and cultures giving you the power to shape them into legends, or lion food.
  • Acquire and distribute equipment that matters, every weapon will give your gladiators new abilities.
  • Should your gladiators be injured in a temporary or permanent way, consider whether their experience makes them worth keeping or if they should be sold.
  • Face off against infamous bosses from all over the world and claim their legendary equipment for your own gladiators.
  • Survive long enough to do battle at the opening of the Colosseum in Rome, a series of challenging battles culminating in a fight against one of the undefeated champions of the arena.

This was released earlier this month but searching didn't return any results and this looks like some here would like it.

Game features:

- Intriguing and engrossing puzzles that will test your ability to quickly associate facts and think abstractly.
- A dark and stunningly beautiful ecosystem on the planet Regilus.
- Superbly written, deep characters.
- A compelling and exciting story, whose finale will surprise even the most seasoned fans of the genre.
- A digital guide to help you in difficult situations and multiple difficulty levels to suit your experience.
- The game's creator and puzzle designer is the legendary Roland Pantoła - creator of critically acclaimed adventure titles such as AD 2044, Reah and the Schizm series.

Some reviews say the puzzles are convoluted guesswork, but according to one of the dev replies they did test it to see if people could understand them:

Hello! Thank you so much for such a detailed review. Your feedback is very, very important! The game was intensively tested by the PlayWay testing lab. We couldn't manage to finish it without all the help from girls and guys (they are great, BTW!). The balance of puzzles is very difficult to make. Roland Pantoła, the designer of the puzzles in Nemezis, was responsible for very difficult Schizm games and he also wanted to do something difficult here. But - how much of difficult is too much? Or too less? We had to decide on something and I can understand that it can be frustrating. Anyway! Thank you again for this great review!
