Retro Golden Age - The Abbey of Crime, repackage(?) of 1987 Spanish isometric adventure thing:

Hmm.

The screenshot on the right is from the Amstrad CPC-version. If that were from the upcoming release, that would probably be the first CPC-game to be released on Steam.

But it likely isn't. This is probably a port of the 2016-remake of the game released (for free) on all major home computers OS, including Linux.

More retro shooters ahead of Realms Deep 2021 announcements.

Fortune's Run, sci-fi FPS/RPG-ish inspired by Deus Ex and E.Y.E?:

And not FPS, but 1C loves more Lovecraftian games. Lovecraft's Untold Stories 2, action roguelite:

More retro shooters, more will come with Realms Deep.

CULTIC, blatantly inspired by Blood, published by 3D Realms. There's a demo on Steam.

Supplice looks very cool. The fact that the lead artist for Ion Fury is working on it is great as well, that game had top-notch visuals.

Anyone missed Grimrock clones? Hyperstrange, the Postal: Brain Damaged developer thinks so, as they publish one.

An ancient structure, long buried under Lisenian woods, is slowly rising as if summoned by an unknown force. Atop of it, stands Skullstone stands – the dreaded entrance into the darkness below. Evil creatures emerge from the under-realm, killing brave men and women, snatching the elderly and the helpless children. While the local monks waste time praying in their monastery, pondering on how to deal with the fiendish infestation, the mayor of the town of Lisentar takes matters in his own hands, calling for mercenaries.

Choose from a roster of 20 characters, each with different set of skills and abilities. Tough warriors, agile archers, healing clerics, and powerful wizards are all waiting for your call. Gather your party and lead it into the Skullstone dungeon. Accept quests, kill monsters, find treasures and claim rewards. Develop your mercenaries to survive the dangers hidden in the darkness, progress through different levels and prepare to face the ultimate evil! You know, same old story... or is it?

This always cracks me up. Dude with a sword in third person = it's obviously souls before souls!!!1111

What they likely mean is blocking and stamina, combined with bleak fantasy vibe and difficulty. There's definitely some similarity between Souls and Severance's combat and I'd wager that folks who played Severance would've felt it when first playing Demon's or Dark Souls.
Still there are precedents both in earlier, first person From RPGs and in other Japanese titles, so it is perfectly feasible that nobody at From ever touched or saw Severance during Demon's Souls development.

An oasis of love and friendship.
Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
I tried the White Hell demo and I want to like it because of the Finngol qualities but man the enemies just kind of run back and forth and you have to headshot them 2-3 times to kill them. It kind of ruins things.
