RAGE is $10 at Gamefly download (activates on Steam) -- apparently it comes with the Anarchy/Preorder DLC. I'm on the fence... I know it's terrible but I doubt it'll drop much lower than $10 in the next couple of years... hmmm

Eh. For a brainless shooter it's not too horrible for $10. Not even Doom 3 quality of game (Though I liked Doom 3 more than a lot of people I guess) but it's ok.

Then again $10 is my sweet spot for bad FPS, so I might be overly generous toward it. I also didn't get the preorder DLC so I didn't have the ridiculous punchdaggers. And didn't get dopefish car paint job which REALLY PISSED ME OFF I TELL YOU WHAT.

KOA: Reckoning is 33% off at steam for midweek, that happened pretty quick.

I assume i'm getting regional pricing, so still way to expensive. (might spend $10 on it one day)

what's the US price like?

let's buy shit because it's cheap

I'm wondering if it's worse than Duke Nukem Forever (that I paid $1 for and regretted). I know it has shitty AI and is ruined by vehicles and such but I still have it down as a cheap buy. If it was $5 I'd easily pull the trigger.

Regarding Amalur the U.S. price is $40ish. Personally I felt that it was not a $60 title (lacked a lot of polish and depth) and only cost that much because of EA's involvement. $40 is what it should have been released as and, as such, I'm really not interested in it until it hits $20ish or so. That and it looks like they're still going to milk it with DLC.

Steam has finally caught up to Gamer's Gate and is running a 75% off Mount and Blade sale. Vanilla+Warband+Fire and Sword for $7.50, or Warband for $5 and F&S for $2.50 separately.

I have warband, is it worth getting either of the other two? I have 133 hours played on warband, and that isn't counting probably double that while offline if that is any indicator of my interest in the series.

I'm debating F&S despite the bad review... I mean hell it's only $2.50. Vanilla isn't worth it unless you really want to play some of the mods (like that LoTR one). Warband is Vanilla with better graphics and additional game play elements. There is nothing in Vanilla that isn't in Warband.

Metro's spot on about vanilla. Absolutely no reason to pick it up except for mods, though that LOTR mod is supposedly really good. Got a buddy who plays it and swears up and down by it.
Fire and Sword isn't near as good as Warband, but it has some interesting differences in how units are trained. M&B combat with guns is a bit of a bummer when some shitty peasant with a flintlock one shots you off your horse. Probably worth grabbing if you're a fan of Mount and Blade just because it's a bit different. If you end up liking it there's a ton of gameplay to be bad for $2.50. If you don't like it, eh, it was $2.50.

Sadly, Pony Friends 2 does not activate on Steam. Deus Ex HR is worth the $7.50, though. Just skip the DLC, none of it is worth it. The 'standalone' mission Missing Link is okay but only about two hours max.

The Missing Link is worth it, though it doesn't take place during the main game. The other 2 packs aren't very interesting, even if one adds a mission, but they're cheap enough that I got them with blue coins during the last sale. Also if you like to play stealthy, I doubt you'll use much of the gadgets they give you.

If the Missing Link were released at a $10 base price point and they took the time to integrate it into the actual game I would have had a better opinion of it. Of course, it would probably piss off people who only had end-game saves. Now at $3.75 or whatever it is... it's an okay value. If we're splitting pennies you'd probably get more entertainment time out of Guardian of Light or Just Cause 2.

Midweek deals: Derp Space games $5 each and Evochron Mercenary $12.50 -- waiting for it to be 75% off.
