Are there any strategy titles on sale that are worth it (meaning they are actually challaneging without the AI getting 1000% bonuses in resources)

Plays fine with mouse and keyboard. I went through the original Dead Rising on popamole machine and Dead Rising 2 on PC and had no complaints. Really liked the Dead Rising series, the leveling and strict timed shit is cool. It's less free-roam than you might think, but OTR might be different. I haven't played it yet. Might buy it now. Since it's sort of a rejiggering of Dead Rising 2 (Mostly the same story and location but with a new protagonist and rearranged items/survivors and shit) I was iffy, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut $10 and I liked the others.
Plus since it has Frank West again that means I can take zombie erotica pictures. Nothing like hot hot zombie upskirts for XP.

AND GOD FUCKING DAMN IT STEAM I WANTED 75% OFF BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL I HATE YOU

man games aren't really good these days aren't they

it's like having a massive shoe sale and the ladies are all 'eh well, I dunno about these, are there any long lasting ones here that wear well and can handle a few years worth of clubbing'

Dead Rising 2 OTR has a separate sandbox mode where you just run around killing zombies/psychos/survivors. And $ and levels carry over to the 'real' game with the time limits and zombrex gathering requirement.

You bought the pack didn't you? The one including Rise of the Samurai dlc and Fall of the Samurai Expansion? You can play them all from the main Shogun 2 menu apparently. I was concerned at first because Fall of the Samurai was supposed to be a "standalone expansion." I thought there was some Steam error preventing it from downloading.

In other words that download includes all three campaigns.

Nope.

I specifically bought Main campaign + RoTS + some shitty small DLC's as they were all 75% off. FoTS was only 50%, so I decided to wait for that one a bit more :keepmyjewgold:

Also if anyone is interested in splitting an OMD 2 pack I'm still on the fence but might do it depending on what the next couple of days of the Steam sale deliver. Price to you would be $11.50-$12 in various Steam games.

New flash deals are Derpgeon Siege and Pendulo adventure pack. I'd probably get the Derpgeon Siege complete pack since it comes with 1 and 2 in addition to 3 but since I already own 3... nope. It's only $7.50.

Hey! When did they remove NWN2 from Steam? :x

Right when legal problems between Atari and Hasbro began. Shame. I wanted to buy it too...
Good that I bought it for cheap earlier. :smug:

Also, everybody, don't forget thet New Vegas All DLC edition is 75% off for 45 minutes.

How much did you get it for(NWN2)? I mentioned earlier a Turdstop offer with the whole collection and wanted to get an idea if it's a good deal or not.

As for FNV, I want the retail version to have on my shelf. I know funds go to Beth, but it still would round out the series sitting there.

How much are you prepared to pay? Turdstop has the NWN and the D&D bundle for $18 now.
Well I bought NWN2 Platinum Edition a while ago, but it was 10 euros IIRC during a sale.

Yeah thanks...I decided to get it, haven't played NWN1 itself either except half way through the OC so it's good to have that as a collection. Never had TOEE either. Ended up being 14 euro for 8 games plus all the exp. Nice that it's all patched up and you don't have to struggle with the updates. It's still available for those that are interested. I can confirm that Turdstop client is not needed once you DL the game.

Hmmm, Pendulo pack. I do like vacuuming up cheap adventure games on Steam.
Checked out what appeared to be the lowest rated review of the latest game in the pack (Yesterday) and saw this screenshot.

One of the flash sales is coming up as not available in my region, yet if i go to dungeon seige III through searching I can get it. $5 though may be too much?

Hmmm, Is $7.50 worth it for the complete pack to get 1 and 2 and some bewb physics?

The DLC is probably better than the main game. More interesting setting and decent story, more Obsidian-like overall.

I checked the trailer for one of them. It looked ok, but then I remembered your zombie game had almost no interactivity :(

This is different though. These are much more traditional point and click games. Quality varies but mostly due to crappy 'humour' and an overabundance of those illogical puzzles that these games are infamous for.

good for those that missed the day sale I guess..

and the shorter sale and this method means we may not get a couple of days of daily sale repeats?

Certainly means you get to gamble a bit with stuff you are not sure about...

Hmm, 2Witcher -60%, if it would win this time, this might be tempting...
Also it's better than the other deals. Arkham City is on sale every other week and Risen 2's discount is hardly noticeable.

Or maybe that's because there's been no new good release as of late.
Do list some games you really want a discount and I'm certainly having trouble listing some... they're kinda meh.
For me:
1. I've got SR3, that's what I've been going from the start. I may have jumped the gun on the THQ pack, but considering that I've so far finished 3 and going on another 2-3 more games in it...that's pretty much settled.
2. Also Warlock - absence of hotkey and diplomacy options aside, this attempt at emulating Master of Magic with Civ V combat engine can really engross me. What a steal. I've just had that experience this morning when I woke up in the morning... boiled some water for my noodles. Boot up the game. Water boiled - pour into instant noodle bowl and started playing a new game. 36 turns later, I realized I haven't had my breakfast. Just be sure to play at challenging to keep things less boring.
3. I did grab Bloodbowl, but if I'm not playing with other people, I really can't see why did I even bother buying it. Meh. I suppose it's pretty decent game on its own, but I never cared about campaign mode in this sort of game. Much like Heroes series - it's dead to me.

And fucking Magical Diary.
