Driver is actually really fun, it's different from your typical GTA style game. I thought it was pretty great, including the bizarre story. When I got it that definitely wasn't the type of story and gameplay mechanic I was expecting, I had just heard the game was really good.

Risen $5. If you're a fan of G1/G2 grab it. Ending act(s) are disappointing but still a decent game.

That Shadow Planet game looks interesting, but I'd rather play platformers with a controller.
This is why all PC master race ubermensch have controllers as well as mice and keyboards. :obviously:

Picked up Shadow Planet (Heard it's only 3-4 hours long though which is a bummer) and still tempted by Krater, Crysis 2, and Dungeon Defenders DLC. Probably should load Dungeon Defenders up later tonight and remind myself why I don't play it any more. Krater and Crysis 2 may be harder to shake.

Not technically part of the sale but on Saturday for 24 hours you can get one of the games in the Groupees Buy a Bundle for just $1 (as opposed to being forced to buy three or whatever). Most of the games are lame but if there's just one you want, it's only a buck: http://groupees.com/bab2

Vampire Bloodlines for $5 as a 12 hours 'flash' sale. Pick it up if you're interested as they don't put this one on sale that much.

Derpblivion a flash sale... but... they finally discounted Morrowind 75% so it's $5. First time in about two and a half years it has hit $5 on Steam.

Ok just bought VtM Bloodlines should I use the unofficial patch?
Yep, grab Wesp's patch. You could even run it without the restored content, but I honestly wouldn't give a shit and would say go for the whole thing.

Managed to resist Krater. Might hit an indie bundle, and hopefully by that point it'll be patched up more. Still debating Crysis 2 and Dungeon Defenders, Dungeon Defenders has to update to the new Steam file system shit and has been downloading missing pieces forever.

That's nothing unusual: Dungeon Defenders usually got a patch every other day and had to redownload like 500mb each time. Going to wait on the last minute for that. As a daily it'll be up until midnight tomorrow.

I think I got Dungeon Defenders in a bundle, too. I have it, and I wouldn't have bought it on its own.

It's shit, especially no proper Balancing and kinda stupid game systems, get Orcs Must Die (or Orcs Must Die 2, which has glorious CoOp) instead.

Pretty sure he already has the base game -- like me -- and just debating the DLC. We also both have OMD and preordered OMD2. :smug: I do agree, though, Dungeon Defenders has pretty horrible balancing and the developers did an awful job allowing stat/item inflation to get out of hand. It's a grind fest but for $3.25 I Wouldn't mind playing through the expansion/DLC content.

Lol, nice one bro. Almost had me convinced for a moment!

(In all seriousness, OMD is fun, but in terms of multiplayer and replayability DD blows it out of the water by a incredibly massive margin)

Eh, yes but, again, a lot of the replayability of DD is just straight up grinding be it for xp or loot. I think the OMD developers did a much better job polishing their game and delivering a fun experience. DD, while more ambitious, is extremely sloppy in its execution and the youth/inexperience of the developers is evident. They basically just duct tape content on to milk more money out of the IP without bothering to balance anything.

This, this, a million times this. Replaying OMD is basically just to 5-skull everything/beat friends on leaderboards. Replaying in DD is grinding for XP/phat lewt/zorkmids the vast majority of the time, most of which is mandatory to advance. OMD has the slight upgrade system with the skulls, but that's noooooooooothing compared to what you go through in DD.

And much like Metro I wouldn't really consider Dungeon Defenders BAD, it's just that my tastes are way in favor of OMD for this kind of thing. Or hell, even Sanctum though I'm not that wild about it.

New vote is meh. Voted for OMD in case some bros wanted to pick it up cheap. The sale price on Warlock is a joke compared to the Pintsized Paradox Pack on Amazon.
