PM me if you want the Deus Ex HR code that came with my graphic card. I'll give it to the first person.

The fuck! Another freebie I missed out on!

Jumping on Humanity has Risen's bandwagon, I have a spare Supreme Commander Steam gift...PM me if you wanna it.

Double the Fuck! This I wanted even more!

What the devil. Jagged Alliance Back in Action is trying to tell me 7.62 NATO is different from 7.62 WP. I think it's just making shit up to make me mad!

Got 7.62 WP coming out the ass but I want 7.62 NATO for this M-14 I found which is going to be my snipin' rifle once my scope gets here from Bobby Ray's. Already placed my order though so fffffffffffuck.

Edit: Oh shit, fuck that M-14. Found an anti-material rifle up for sale. Range 110 as opposed to the M-14's 33. If my calculations are correct, that's a bigger number. Killing everyone at such a distance they can't even fire back sounds agreeable to me so I'll pay out the ass for .50 cal.

Edit 2: Anti-material rifle worked well until I came up against cannibal farmers wearing body armor and using axes. THEY JUST RUN AT ME. THEY'RE COMING OUT OF THE GODDAMN WALLS. One farmer got too close and axed 4 mercs to death before I took him down.

Yeah...this is correct. Soviet 7.62 cartridges are shaped differently to NATO cartridges. They won't work in each others' guns.

Also it seems that you are actually enjoying this 'travesty'(according to the Codex)...could it be so and the game is ok on its own merits?

MHC if you or Metro get a 4 pack going let me know. I can do paypal or steam monies at your choosing. I might bite the bullet and get it from GMG if nothing else appears, looks like I can get it down to $40 bucks with discounts for a single copy.

bros I tried orcs must die for a bit

is it me or is the damn thing really carpal tunnelly

I get the whole don't click like a madman thing for precision (which is monocle at heart) but at any one time you can have up to six orcs in front alone asking to be manically headshotted one after another and the effect is like asking me to play the serious sam/alien shooter games without autofire on.

and I swear the damn spikes triggering block my shots, as if the blend of incoming green scum at various distances you get from a frontal view doesn't clutter up the corridor enough

yeah there's probably something I'm missing here help me out dudes I do want to like this

ps: the crossbow seems to really often have a noticable 'bolt-drop' where I need to click above them to reliably get headshots, not a great issue but it doesn't feel right

It gets easier as you get more traps.
This. You'll rarely rely ENTIRELY on traps, but you'll definitely reach a point where you've got traps doing most of the heavy lifting.

Edit: Oh, huh. Greenman Gaming is doing Borderlands 2 for $40 without any group buy fuckery, just a coupon. Might do that instead, $4 more than ideal Amazon price and $2 more than shifty dude, but should have 0 issues with people forgetting I bought a code with them or vicious Gaben crackdowns.

Edit 2: Gamersgate has a 4 pack up now, which comes out to $38 a pop with my magical 15% discount. Not entirely sure about Gamersgate group buys though. If it just listed 4 CD keys it'd be easy to pass those off to bros. If it requires sending to another Gamersgate account that might be pissier.

I think they might list 4 separate games in your account that you can gift the spare games to. Since they are Steam keys, I think you could just send them off to bros in an email for them to activate. Officially according to GG you'll have 4 copies of the game this way, but since others will have them activated on steam it won't matter. Conversely if you don't 'reveal' the codes, you can send each other copy to another GG account.

Oh, so it would be possible to view all the keys and then send them via email/PM/chat window/whatever, eh?

Hmmmm. Miiiight host a 4 pack then.

Found a guy doing a group buy on Steam for $40. Joined that. Less of a pain in the ass than hosting a group myself, and since it's a Steam preorder that makes it priceless. Plus I should be able to preload if they do that.

Just gotta hope they don't fuck it up and/or I haven't lost my taste for Borderlands. Not terribly often I preorder a game for $40+. Since they're including a bit more character customization and SUPPOSEDLY even more weapon variety that sounds good. Just lookit them character skins, bros!
Also hope the guy who did the advanced settings program for Borderlands 1 does that for 2. I know Gearbox said they're gonna add more options in the PC version by default (Like FOV adjustment without a third party program/ini tweaks thank god) but I dunno if they'll let you disable the outlines. I thought Borderlands 1 looked a fair bit better with 'em disabled.

Looks like the talent/skill system is still pretty mediocre. Think I might just wait for the massive price reductions that will inevitably follow.

A magical evening of Borderlands impressions

[Pros]
-item and shop system is cool, needs more than just half a dozen random types on sale at once though
-claptrap is kawaii~
-quite pretty once you take off the outlines
-you get to shoot midgets reasonably quickly
-unlimited sprint, thankfully
-ammo is plentiful

[Cons]
-lifeless world filled with spawns and copious constant container opening action
-subpar, plain level design
-shitty default fov, getting in car resets custom fov so you have to bind that shit to sprint, fuck you
-filler and makework quests that involve fetching or killing or both
-as far as I can tell the level system is such that you're supposed to get horribly raped if you take on just slightly higher level enemies until you grind your ass closer with quests, which just adds more repetition
-character skill system is boring as fuck and you take ages to get one point to spend in something boring, I'd rather be playing Crimsonland or Nation Red
-weapon sounds suck and impact feedback sucks too
-bad audio mix period, some of the guns are too fucking loud, bandit voices are sorta low despite voice sliders being at max, but dog things are loud so you don't know which fucking slider to tweak
-can't shoot npcs or claptrap or even get a 'hey cut it out' from them
-fucking weird vehicle controls, also you can't loot from inside the vehicle which is a pain
-terrible vehicle driving experience pretty much, it bumps into little terrain features and stops dead so the offroading fun potential is negated

And as a final pain in the ass
during its first time running thing Steam fucking installed amdcpusetup which after some research is the AMD Cool 'N Quiet driver, why the fuck does Borderlands even need that shit

That's pretty much Borderlands in a nutshell. On another note: finished Beyond Good and Evil. Fun little puzzle/action/platformer sort of in the Psychonauts vein. The port from Xbox is a little rough especially the camera angles and the controls some time. I wouldn't call it an amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing game like some people but certainly worth the $2.50 I spent. Hopefully they do a bit more with the sequel if they ever get around to making it like having a truly open world (progression is fairly linear given the pearl mechanic), bit more in the way of itemization, and a little more combat (although I appreciate it is more of a stealth/puzzle game). Ending was pretty retarded, though. Had a nice story and didn't see why they had to go with 't3h chozen one' thing.

Both Borderlands and Dead Island and a lot of those Shooters are CoOp games, you won't have much fun alone and find them boring ass shit, but if you're playing with some bros and can fool around and laugh about shit they're fun.

I finished the single player 3 times and never had the need to grind before moving to the next area.
Sometimes you get quests too high to do now, but usually in this case I still had a quest log full of lower level quests to do.
