Still curious enough to spend $5 on it!

And my interest has grown a little bit for Sword of the Stars 2. Apparently it's finally been patched up to a decent state, and they're going to be adding a pretty significant chunk of free DLC adding a new race (With new FTL method, naturally), new tech, weapons, etc around the end of the month.

The solo deals are pretty lackluster. Packs are nice but, at most, I'd only want two games out of some of them. Eventually Steam will have their Thanksgiving sale and Amazon will be forced to match the solo stuff.

Seriously, the campaing is a bit derpy, but the multiplayer pays off. That alone was already worth the 9,99 I payed for the entire THQ package.

I was surprised how fun Space Marine's multiplayer is too. It's still a bit half-assed (And Relic were fools to charge for multiplayer DLC when so few people play it (Unless there was a bigger MP community on the consoles)) but whatever designer worked on the weapon and perk balance did a really good job. Most weapons can be used effectively and handle differently.

Every major AAA publisher is doing it these days. Funny enough I don't remember it being this bad around the time of the infamous Horse Armor DLC. Seems like a lot of the nickle and dime shit like selling items only got a resurgence the last few years.

Well, someone has to go first and take the brunt of the criticism. Afterwards, others could always point at their DLC and say "but it's not as bad as Horse Armor". Until people got used to the thought, and Horse Armor became the norm. Now you pay for a club in form of a pink dildo.
