Kinda wobbly on Dead State, AoD, and Eisenwald but the red mist descended. Especially Dead State since they seem to be going from "Well it has 3 locations and 5 encounters" to "Game is released!" suspiciously quickly for a game that's been in development for 30 years. Xulima and Shadowgate look pretty rocking, Quest for Infamy sounds like it could be fun but reviews seem a bit iffy. Elminage Gothic is most likely going to be too animu and once the first group of schoolgirls attack me with panties in a dungeon I'll be out. Binding of Isaac 'cause what the hell, Blood 1 because Blood 1 is great, Blood 2 because I feel obligated to buy it even though from what I remember about playing the demo years and years ago it was pretty bad. Walking Dead pinball 'cause Pinball FX2 is good stuff. Space Hulk DLC 'cause they were cheap and I don't really have an issue with the Space Hulk game and each one has some more maps so whatever.

Do you like the idea of playing as an elite sniper fighting against an army of Nazi zombies? If so, this just might be what you were waiting for.

I wouldn't consider it mindless since your character is kinda fragile, so playing it YOLO-style is probably not viable until you know the maps by heart. The satisfying X-ray gibbing mechanic unfortunately loses most of its impact in this setting since your enemies are hordes of brainless tards (literally).

I can't stand most animu shit, however this doesn't have RAGE INDUCING retarded animu shit in it. It is a well done (older) Wizardry clone.

I can't stand most animu shit, however this doesn't have RAGE INDUCING retarded animu shit in it. It is a well done (older) Wizardry clone.

Cool beans. Pretty promising pile of games then. Took a super super short look at Xulima (Won't be playing it for reals for a while now and still got LoG2 to finish up anyway) by just firing it up and running around with the default party a bit. Gives a really good first impression.

Looking forward to Realms of Haunting. It's a weirdo FPS adventure hybrid that uses FMV and the Doom engine. So pretty much the most 90s game ever made?

Hue. Buddy of mine's been playing AoD since I've been having the day from hell and been completely unable to vidiergaem so my Steam library's been available to him. Apart from informing me that combat should be avoided at absolutely all costs and spears are awful he does say it's quite good.

Well done considering he doesn't even particularly like replaying Fallout because it's old (Though he did play and like 1 and 2), threw away Baldur's Gate in disgust because he cannot into AD&D, and threw away ToEE because... I don't even remember why. Got pissed off at the early difficulty I think. So your game is getting a thumb's up from a non-Codexer not particularly hardcore RPGer Vault Dweller

You will be surprised by the ammount and quality of the puzzles. Shooting parts are ok, but it always didn't feel as good as in Doom. Still, very underrated and charming game. The FMV sequences didn't make me wanna laugh, so it's a plus too. You will start swearing near the end, with gathering one element puzzle, moving towards the maze of corridors and trying to find the monsters that have them. That was the only moment that made me angry.

Originally didn't intend to play AoD until it was released, but buddy raving about it made me take a look. Hot damn that's some good storyfagging. Started out a loremaster, kinda ended up a merchant, shenanigans happened, then I was ambushed on the road and eaten alive by worms. Won't be playing too heavily until it's done but now I'm definitely glad I picked it up.

Loremaster/merchant is a great build - probably my favorite non-combat one from the earlier EA version. Very rewarding in terms of quests.
