Well at least the Holiday Cards are selling for like 1.60 buck. It's something, I guess?
At the moment it would be from crafting badges. That's how they've had event cards before the actual event before. Then once it goes live they'll probably have other ways of getting 'em like voting for community choice deals and spending money and shit. How do you get Holiday Cards this year? I see people from my friends list having some.
Is it only for buying games like other years?
"Unreleased" is a relative term here. The Strife Closed Beta keys had been in a Humble Bundle not very long ago, which means that the Strife MOBA has been the more visible item until now. What's with the "ORIGINAL STRIFE" insistent terminology? Gamefaqs says the only other game with that title is some yet unreleased MOBA.
Quite possibly, although the fault most likely couldn't be pinned to him. What sank the gem ship was whatever exploit or bug that let people get near-infinite gems. Without that it would've just been a normal stupid Steam metagame.
http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...travaganza-thread-begging-also-welcome.78755/I'm awaiting the day when I can sell all my humble bundle shit even for 1 cent per game and buy a proper game instead (or another CK2 DLC)
Night Dive tends to price games pretty cheaply and put them on sale often, and the video explicitly showed that you can turn off so called 'hd mode' to play it without the bullshit if you want.Strife is cool, I wouldn't recommend getting this "HD" re-release though (unless the price is very low and all these out of place effects are purely optional)
The shit hit the fan while I was offline, looking at prices now it seems that cards are back to their standard price for the most part, maybe a tiny bit lower. The sale will likely bump them back up.
The promotion is gone and gems are wiped from the marketplace. I guess Valve had to hit the big red button since their event was so broken it allowed people to get essentially infinite cards and completely ruined card prices. Which is a shame since I've been saving them for a year to cash in during a (Normal) winter sale event. Oh well. Win some, lose some. Will be interesting to see if they try to fix the event and re-launch it before the winter sale or if they just sweep it under the rug and do a normal sale and pretend this never happened. Despite the lowered card prices.

but before I do, are there any known issues with the Steam edition of SS2?
