the long-forgotten prequel to Ubersoldier 2 is now on Steam... for whatever reason. i'm glad you can finally buy it on Steam now, but I recall that it's really hard to get running on modern operating systems. maybe Strategy First actually fixed that?

I hope that's just him losing weight and not because of underlying health issues. If he did it consciously, good job. I want him to live as long as possible because, the moment he dies, you know Valve is getting fucked up big time.

starni games' new game is out:

they might actually challenge graviteam's position as being the king of slavjank ww2 tactical autism games, because this looks *really* good. i don't even mind the fact that the ui and main menu are shameless rip-offs of the ones from company of heroes

A small game with an interesting twist on Russian roulette. I feel this could be expanded in different ways, like a multiplayer version or even something that has a deeper narrative. Since it's so cheap, it's an easy recommendation.

Anything particularly worth picking up in the steam fps fest? I'm probably going to get Dusk but nothing else really stands out to me

If you are into boomer shooters, then Ion Fury (for Build engine connoisseurs), HROT (for that Quake 2 feel) and Project Warlock (the original, not the sequel) are all worth your time. Dusk is also phenomenal.

Brigand: Oaxaca is at a 33% discount - not the best, but the game is cheap to begin with.
