Counter-Strike was the original home for fast-paced shooters, players banning weapons/tactics/maps from their servers because they are for noobs, intentionally misspelling words to look edgy and calling each other niggeraidsfaggotcancers over microphones in high-piched, loud and angry voices.

Counter-Strike is the OG of :popamole:

CS was always shit. It is one step up from CoD.

There definitely is some merit to this. A lot of Counter Strike revolves around the luck of the auto aim system registering headshots. The game can definitely be compared to COD, since the game revolves around running and gunning, rather than clearing out a building using stealth, cunning, and gadgets, like the Swat or Rainbow 6 series. It's a fun game, but to pretend it is incline is definitely a dishonest and a nostalgic claim.

What about walking to not alarm others where you are? It's core aspect of the game. And gadgets are essential too.Health not regenerating ,strong recoil on all weapons... yeah it's really one step from CoD.In 5 years Quake will be popamole for some of the posters here.:1/5:

I'll send you a friend a request on Steam, and I will challenge your claim, since it contradicts my personal experiences. Walking when stealthed only matters to the losing team who is trying to make a comeback. The initial push is loud and hard. The difference between COD and CS is that COD you can shoot the body, and CS you'll win exchanges only with the head. I will bring Fraps with me.

Can't see how that will prove anything. You will probably win ,because I'm not that good at FPS,but watching from time to time pro games walking is key factor most of the time even with pushes. Also on that note armour and money management are two huge differences with CoD.

I am not trying to win, I am trying to prove my point of Counter Strike depending on ideas such as run and gun, as opposed to tactics, and subterfuge.

Even if that was true ,the games you compare it are SP against AI and CS is MP only(edit: where I think by default you have more room for tactics and mind games).Run and gun is part of the game as it should be , but not the only factor in games where we have evenly skilled players.

Even with even skilled players, the initial push is still a nade and a run and gun. Yes, it is slightly more complicated than COD, but it is still soft, and status quo compared to an actual strategy based shooter.

Maybe ,but I think that falls more to the map's design than the game itself. In the end even in SWAT you need to run and gun at some point,if you can't hit anything then all your planing goes to hell.

Original home for fast-paced shooters? What the hell? Even if that was true (and it's obviously not) is that supposed to be a bad thing?

And CS doesn't have cover mechanics so it would be quite weird to call it popamole as that image seems to suggest.

That is a rather stupid statement, as the game is usually about a lot more than that (a team defending two spots, while the others are trying to rush it or take it with subterfuge).
Things like flashbangs and smoke grenades, as well as sneaking in certain situations so that other people don't hear your steps as well as the entire money system/round or positioning yourself in the right spots and using cover well and teamplay are all rather important.
None of which is really true for CoD.

A push/rush can and will often go rather bad for the attacking team if the defending team does its job.

Moo?
to put everyone who has a stake in the "gaming" PC hardware market (most notably AMD and NVIDIA, but also many OEMs; not sure how much of a shit Intel gives tbh)

I think Intel stopped giving two craps about enthusiasts at the tail-end of the Core 2 Duo/Quad days. Nowadays they mutter about fusing a CPU onto a motherboard and being done with the whole third party market altogether. And then AMD pipes up with a 'Not us, seriously guys we know where our money comes from' because they'll take any advantage they can get.

So what is the deal with cards ? Do they serve any purpose besides satisfying some ancient "hunter gatherer" instincts aka OCD that have to get everything of everything ?

And cards "drop" just by having said game opened ? What has Gaben wrought now ?

And so it starts. It seems you have to own the game to write a review, though, so there's always that.

New update about downloading shit.
One most important - keeping download process when you launching game from Steam library.

Fucking
Finally

Actually too late because I can't play F:NV anymore. The only game (that I remember in this moment) where alt+tab doesn't work or getting crash, sooner or later.

You don't need to alt+tab out of New Vegas for it to crash, my good man. It is more than capable of doing that on its own accord.
