The dude who posted it has a long history of providing correct insider info from the gaming industry. I'm inclined to believe it's real, he's leaked much more sensitive stuff in the past, he has no reason whatsoever to destroy his own credibility with a made up Valve ppt.

Fans of Half Life waiting for the third game will be pleased to hear that Valve may offer information about Half Life 3. This would put an end to the leaks and speculation that has been going around about the game.

Recently GameNGuide said that fans could take part in a session on Reddit and ask Gabe Newell anything they wanted. The co-founder of Valve has made this offer to gamers, however it comes at a price, but at least this is for charity.

Newell backs the Seattle Children’s Heart Centre and he said that fans should make donations to reach a target of $500,000. Gamers are able to donate to Heart of Racing and if the target sum is reached he will then speak up about Half Life 3.

So it looks like fans will have to put their hands in their pocket if they want all the gen on Half Life 3. Let’s just hope that Gabe has $500,000 worth of information to pass onto them if fans meet the target.

TL;DR

Donate for charity, receive Half-Life 3 news directly from the God Gaben.

I hope HL3 will become babby's first FPS for the next crop of console gamers, so that they can cause endless suffering to the fans of HL1 and HL2 by claiming that the NEW game is way deeper than the previous.
