Oh yeah!
I forgot.

The dot matrix thingy is actually pretty cool and I like the little sound it makes when something new appears.
BUT: there's no "go to last line" button (equivalent of "page down" in your browser).
Having to scroll back with up and down button or mouse scroll sux.

EW. Keyboard controls please. PgUp, PGDn, Home, End should perform the expected functions.

I was like "what the FUCK!" when I tried to Select All with ctrl+A. I did it like 100 times. The game kinda feels like an RTS and I expected those kind of controls to be default.
But the select all function was default binded to F, so I got used to it. Works pretty well with WASD as camera movement (but again, camera suxxxxxxx).

Thank you Zombra I figured as much oh well GOG will have my jewgold come march
Been watching the stream and I am unexpectedly quite delighted with what I see so far, lots of spoken dialgue for the radio transmisions which I really didn't expect for a Kickstarter title and everything else looks quite good, alhtough the UI does seem a bit small but the combat looks simple enougj yet deep the mark of well done TB combat...for a second I though it was going to include location damage a la Fallout

I played briefly and ended up dying to a random encounter :D

What I saw so far was great. Many and varied uses for skills. Some contrived, but not all.

Combat is excellent. It is not nuXCOM hide behind boxes. There is often no useful cover at all.

Every single attribute point you spend feels valuable and has an effect.

One annoying thing is that I had a talker character, but other characters kept initiating dialog and I got fucked out of using my speech skills I had bought.

You can change who's talking by clicking the portrait. Though I'm not sure it works perfectly yet or not. It could be bugged.

The 2nd time I looked for it, and only saw one portrait on the screen. Next time I play I'll be more observant and take a screenshot if it's not there.

You click on the portrait of the speaker and it will bring up a list of squad member portraits. Then you click on the portrait of the squad member you want to select. May not work perfectly, but should be functional right now.

Also, check this out if you don't have access to the early beta. Best streaming playthrough I've seen so far this evening: http://www.twitch.tv/theadrain

Just came home and saw that update in my e-mail (I don't have a smart phone *gasp*)

Did anyone even bother to read through the full update before heading over to the ranger center? I know I didn't !

Anyone know how to level up? I can't find it. Yes, I'm a noob, etc, etc. I looked everywhere I think.

So far, I approve. Combat is good, dialogue system is a bit awkward, skill choice and usage seems good and varied so far.

Camera is a bit of a wrist acher, but I've seen much worse. Expedition: Conquistador's camera was a nightmare (And I liked that game.).

Call the Ranger Center and then hit C after the dialogue is done.

Bug: The Doubled-Barrel shotgun only shoots one round when it's in double fire.

Would be great if we could continue to use function keys to select characters while in dialogue. Click, click, click! I hate the mouse!

MLMarkland will we have the option to turn the battle music off? This has been one of the most popular mods for IE games and I would really appreciate that feature in WL2. If I remember correctly (been a long time since I last played it) Fallout didn't have any specific battle music and this is one of the reasons why I found it so atmospheric and immersive.

So is there free skill usage like in Fallout or do you have to wait until the game prompts you?

I'm a little drunk because this is a little exciting but oh man I'm very pleased so far. Only an hour in and while I have my complaints they're far outnumbered by what I like. Oh, and that dot matrix...I really thought I'd hate it but I kind of love it. In fact the only reason I'm here is because Windows decided to auto-update while I was playing. :/

Also: Seconds into the game and I find myself talking to an NPC from WL1 with tons of dialogue and I just wanted to
:negative:

You can select a skill and then select an object in the world. Most of the time it will have a context sensitive mouse button assigned to the obvious skill to use.

Can't guarantee it; but I think we can make that happen.

Am I missing something or is there no default quicksave key? Also MLMarkland I'm not trying to be a dick but y'all might as well get prepared now for hearing this A LOT:

"The camera controls are clunky, unintuitive and annoying and I hate you."
