Sounds like :decline: to appease consoletards.

Islamic–themed and similar textures have been deleted and/or replaced.

Still no support for an aspect ratio that isn't shit.

Download Flawless Widescreen to play Witcher in a proper aspect ratio with no black bars. Works only with 1.1 atm though

Heh. I'm sort of glad that I haven't purchased this game yet, if it's true that they're already dumbing it down.

Something similar happened in Dragon Age, right? After a few patches the difficulty was reduced quite a bit to appease people who apparently don't have the patience for a challenge. Too bad.

Apparently some bearded would be terrorists have problems with prayer carpets being used as a decoration in brothel in the witcher world :)

They should change the textures to those of two flying objects crashing into tall towers, and hand the game out for free at ground zero. Then we would see who was really sensitive and tolerant.

Or maybe a picture of Jesus with a huge penis having sex with a five year old girl. Make it mandatory to buy the game in Alabama

Potato RAGE!!

Bought Geralt today (extra sexy version), connected to the net, installed from discs... no problem. Game launcher found and downloaded first patch, found 1.2 patch... then repeatedly downloaded and restarted-

Read online it's a 9Gb patch. WHAT TEH FCUK!?!!

Supposed to be some Steam error, but I didn't even log into Steam, would know my password even if it was tattooed on my cock. It's already downloaded close to a Gb already before I closed it down. I'm on prepaid USB internet and pay an admittedly outrageous $50 for 4Gb of download. The Witcher 2 cost me $89 but the fucking patch ALONE would cost over a AU$115.

I was really looking forward to this game but I'm not paying $200 for some Polish ice addict with the clap. $90 is my limit. God damn fuck shit. Why can't games work out of the fucking box, or failing that, auto-patch pronto with no problems.

Couldn't you install without steam? Or is it forced now even from discs? The steam-less version of the patch is only 67 mb...

There is no Steam. It's not loaded, I didn't log in, I don't use it, no Steam, Steam none.

I installed from discs, it ran smoothly until it repeatly downloaded 67Mb and 69 Mb patches. This was all autopatching from the game's launch screen. Some online say patch is 9Gb. Dunno, too tired to chase up forums and fixes tonight, and not wasting more of my limited broadband (rather that went to the Tits thread.) Very annoying, wanted to play an albino whoremonger this weekend, fuckit. Might take the game back until they patch their patch.

This new patch seems to have fucked-up my game.
I've played around 30 minutes and then it started to stutter pretty hard. Next I tried to exit the game and restart, but it still stutters like a sonofabitch. Fuck me :(

The same happened to me. I decided to update my Ati Radeon drivers. Now it runs smoother than before patching.

Here are the drivers I installed

AMD Catalyst™ 11.5b hotfix

1.1 patch on Steam was 9GB (and only on steam). CDPR fixed it already for Steam users.

I updated my nvidia drivers 2 days ago :( I guess I'll uninstall the game and reinstall it with version 1.1.

Your fault for going with the green rather than the red. Can't believe how fucked Nvidia is these days, problems with almost every game. How the times have changed.

Which version? I read somewhere Nvidia issued a new driver just to solve sudden fps drop in Witcher 2.

# Performance
* The Release 275 beta driver v275.27 can cause significant performance drop in The Witcher 2. This issue has been resolved in v275.33 drivers. Please read this FAQ for more information on this issue.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
They may nerf prologue's fight, but not by much. After completing the game on normal, I patched it and started anew, on hard. And I died four times during balista fight. Granted, I got too cocky for my own good, once I accepted that even in prologue I need to use signs, bombs and stuff, it got easier, but still... enemies are not pushovers.
EDIT: But the fight in the courtyard was ridiculously easy.

The Twitcher 2's price just dropped to 39.99 on Steam.

Just for the cheap fucks out there. I'm sure many won't buy it until it's under $10.00

I don't know why people would buy it from Steam when they can get it from GOG.com, and the launcher has an autopatch function.

Hehe, yeah. I have a G700 with has enough buttons for me.

Actuall, I'm now using xpadder with the 360 controller for TW2, which allows me to use a button or trigger to 'shift' to a new set of buttons, so I have pleanty now for everything. :salute:

I have easy tip for CDP, just follow Crytek way by simply rename levels of difficulty, nobody of these fucking wanker should complain again. Like in “Crysis 2” where “Low=High” and “Normal=Extreme” or like in “Crysis Warhead” where words “high” and “low” are prohibited in graphics option section, because of some retards, who always set “high” regardless of their hardware and word “low” of course, bring to them such burden of uncertainness and lowness.

“Hey, I just playing Witcher on “Very Blow Job Hard” (read: on old “easy” level) and it's OK!”. Fucking easy games lovers...

Ps. I'm taking here about these guys, gals and aliens which ones complains give us fruit of patch 1.2 dumbing some things down. Not about proper guys, gals and aliens who loves proper, hard games.

I have no problems with lowering difficulty in the prologue. After all I expected, as probably most of us, the prologue to be a piece of cake. I would rage if they lowered difficulty in an entire game. That would be an all out :decline:

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I died about 3 times in the ballista fight (until I changed my tactics, used quen and yrden a lot, and killed the crossbowmen first) and 2 times in the courtyard fight while playing on hard difficulty with patch 1.1. People who complain it's too hard just cannot into sign use and rolling around like a drunkard.
