Detlaff is an emo teenager.
You know what, I fucking hate how the whole plot is consists of features that CDPR just made up: oh he's a being of immense power but he's really sensitive, oh princess appears to have a sister who just happens to bear with the Curse of the Black Sun, oh a FUCKING ARMY OF VAMPIRES THAT COULD OBLITERATE THE COUNTRY appears from nowhere because Detlaff asked them. Somehow. Because apparently higher vampires can do that now. As well as mutate into eldritch horrors. And cast shadows.

The "time flows differently" thing is retarded as well. We Dragonball Z now.

It's really awful.

Contrary to Ciri being able to destroy worlds, teleport wherever the fuck she wants, curses that bring the dead to life or other nonsensical shit that you could find in the game and books?

That's what you find retarded and awful?

Ah yes, a fantastic world hidden in common object where time flows faster, a novel Japanese concept that never once appeared in western fantasy fiction.

Yes, and makes a lot of sense to do that with a children's fairy tale book, so that they age faster. Less trouble that way.

"Dozen of people are dying on the street as we speak, the city is on fire, and I want YOU, you big stud who I meet five minutes ago, to have zero-sex gravity with me, right here and now."

You also get to cuck Detlaff and cheat on your partner, because why the fuck not?

Literally what fuck. If it was Bioware who did something like this, we would have a 50 pages threads mocking them, but since it's CD Projekt darling it is suddenly good.

It was explained that in the illusion time is different, days outside means minutes in it, so I think a quickie shouldn't be a problem.

And the bitch already confessed that she never loved the blood sucking cunt, she used him as a tool and only that.

Bad writing? People fucking during bad situtations is not that rare even in real life and women using men as tools and fucking them over, not really a myth...

It's debatable.

It about the mindset, Jesus Christ.

Geralt should feel discomfort and hurry since the situation he was catapulted in, and the lady is in obvious in distress (And clearly evil and insane).

Beside, it's not like they are virgins, Geraldo is 100 years gary stu who gets witch pussy regularly and the cunt probably has taken over 100 bandit cocks not to mention superior enhanced vampire dicks. How the in the name of jesus "a quickie" comes up in their mind? Are they 12 with hormones raging or what?

I swear, I've seen Japanese Porn VN with better set-up for sex.

I don't think you understand the importance of a quickie,it's something spontaneus,no matter what the circumstances are, doesn't matter if everyones fate is in your had,a quickie prevails over everything.

Maybe you should get your priorities straight buddy,no amount of death and carnage can surpsass the importance of a quickie.

The story is not that bad.
I really was intrigued up until the end game where its just meh and expected. They could do more with it at the end.
In booth expansions they try to recreate a thing they think was a super success- the baron story but it failed because 2 characters for whom you should have mixed feelings are really despicable- Olgierd and that sister bitch whatever her name is. There is no motivation for going down their path rather than seeing "a better" ending.
Not to mention that Dettlaff was 2D character.
Potatos are in a broader sense going on a downhill spiral of BioWare...but that was evident since vanilla W3. It was more casual and light, Disney in approach than W1 and W2.
But its still a long way down to that bottom.

Just finished Blood and Wine, though there were one or two quests left hanging that I didn't complete.

Enjoyed it overall. Main storyline was fun to follow though certainly not CD Projekt Red's best moment. Coudl've been more tightly constructed but I certainly enjoyed it. The Olgierd / O'Dimm story remains the best one in Witcher 3 though.

What a huge fucking game this is now, for better or worse. Near the finish, I thought back on the opening moments in White Orchard with Vesemir and it's like... damn, that feels like *ages* ago now. It's certainly a long journey. Anyways, while the Witcher games are really hit and miss for me, I think I'll kinda miss Geralt. Fun main character.

I finished it yesterday too.

Nice fan service at the end. Won't spoil it - it felt really special and scratched an itch I've felt since the end of the original campaign.

I originally got the tragic ending but reloaded and got another ending which I am much more happy with. Ballsy of them to 'lock' so much content depending on which path you choose, but it is real C&C unlike BioWare.

Also, Regis is a bro and the conversations you have with him beat anything BioWare have ever come up with. I'm taking pops at BioWare now because at least the gaming media retards accept Bethesda can't write well.

I still think White Orchard was the best part of the game, with the well-constructed well hunt etc. If the entire game was built like that, and emphasised preparation against tougher enemies while keeping it down on the Ubishit open world design it would be 10x better. Reagents should be hard to get, potions should be more powerful and the pseudo-rpg systems needed to take a hike. This would have been so much better as an action-adventure game without levels, killing hundreds of level-scaled Drowners and shit like that.

This is also my observation. Besides buying abilities levels add nothing substantial to the game. CD-Projekt wanted to add Gothic-like "go to a wrong place and get killed exploration" but fucked it up so badly it became meaningless. Yes it's fun in RPGs to run from strong foes and first and later return to kill them but it's fun when you are level-peasant running away from ogres, not veteran monster-slayer running away from drowners because they are apparently infinitely more skilled at combat. Not to mention shit like that has no place in games that don't tell "from zero to hero story".

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Is it possible to get the Gwent cards I've missed in the vanilla playthrough? I got the book that supposedly tell guide you to your missing cards but it only says "4 Velen" and "9 Novigrad". Well, Velen and Novigrad are pretty big places, where the fuck am I supposed to look?

Plus I'm missing both the Gerald and Ciri cards which are obtainable only through quests, I don't suppose I can get those two after the main plot is finished?

You can't get those two anymore. For the rest, I guess just visit all the innkeepers and buy them from there.

Yeah, my hard-to-find cards were all sold by innkeeps and shopkeepers. None of them were any good, either - IIRC it was mostly monster cards.

Tried the no level requirement mod for a few days now, and I found myself wielding non-Witcher Set weapons more often since I can skip the bullshit and buy diagrams off merchants.
However the side effect of turning all scaled weapon drops as vendor trash is pr. hard to ignore.
Must've sold so many relics cause they lost out to Level 40 Mahakam Steel Sword.

I just got one-shotted by bandit on Death MArch with club because my level 40 witcher armor didn't have any blunt resistances. *Balanced*

Spoiler question about the Blood and Wine finale:

How does one save the duchess? I found the fifth note and told everyone and their mother that Syanna still wants to kill Anna. The guard captain even mentions posting additional men and keeping a close eye on Syanna during the following audience.

There's no way to save her at that point, she won't believe you if you warn her and the guard captain simply fails to protect her.
You had to read all the entries in the diary of the babysitter(derp) and then talk to syanna about her sister and their childhood when you confront her about the 5th victim (doing those makes her forgive Anna, kind of)

It's even more derp than that
When you're in the fairy tale book you have to ask her about Henrietta and their past, without this you will not have the option available when you talk to her in the tower.
