I don't think CD Projekt has the chops to do Witcher combat justice. I think a Japanese Studio could pull it off though. So my solution for cd projekt red is to hire more unemployed Japanese people

BTW, i'm at the fourth story now, the one about the mage and the satanic woman who plotted to kill him.
So far i'd say the games weren't really that far off from the books, but the writing in the stories is of a much higher level, even in translation. Story telling too is much more gripping.
The grim dark is really something though. Like, is there anybody who ISN'T a piece of shit in this world? How can a society like this even function?
The author seems to be aware of it too since this last story was about the futility of chosing the lesser evil in a world that's this shitty.

It has already been in 4 years of pre-production with the team of around 80 people. Now the entire team (400+ people) are working on it. So in about 2 years or 3, the game should be completed.

The Witcher started as chadcore and ended as sentimental shit for women. And this was in the 90s. CDP has also gone through a certain path and even their former lawyers, like Rebel Moon, are pretty rainbow. So what do I expect from the new Witcher?
In a standardized slavic village (TM), half of whose population is black and headed by a Chinese, women, despite the truly Slavic matriarchal religion (TM), are sacrificed alive to monsters for the glory of patriarchy. Ciri arrives at a crucial offering moment, she teleport to a cottage where white men and the women subordinated to them are preparing an innocent black woman for slaughter.
"Wait!", Ciri shouts. "The Witcher Code forbids me to look on with indifference when innocent women suffer", This is part of the main plot, in which we gradually discover that witchers were created by the Lodge of Sorceresses to defend women against patriarchy; Geralt, a relic of the a patriachal transition, laughs in later books from the idea of the code, because the patriarchy wanted to strengthen itself by subversing this idea, which is again part of a larger quest - Geralt was always on the wrong side and will be ridiculed at the end of the game by being stranded on the lonely island of Skelige with a masturbator made of goatskin, wool and a wooden tube.
"Woman!" screams a decrepit relic of patriarchy and white supremacy that worships the inclusive religion of the tripartite goddess.
"Please don't interfere, it will be for the better...", the lost victim of the patriarchy defends the perpetrators, which is also a commentary on the situation of rape in contemporary culture, which is a rape culture and always defends the perpetrators, because no perpetrator of rape has ever been caught.
Ciri bites the vial of the potion, drinks it along with the pieces of glass, and then sets the entire village on fire with the Igni sign. Many white NPCs die along the way, as women and those of color no longer generate from this point on. Afterward, Ciri takes the victim of patriarchy to a pile of hay that conveniently wasn't lit. The quest ends with a cutscene where Ciri, lying on top of the patriarchy's victim, whispers "It's tribbin time!" and they have sex out of frame.
Poles will be delighted. They have finally matured to be cucks like the rest of Europe (not excluding France, of course, which has passed the stage of fascination with woke and now only stubbornly suffers in this state, because there is no escape from woke).

The short stories in the first two books are Sapkowski's best stuff. The novels are a snore. The best original stuff besides that is probably Witcher 2's story (which actually gives me hope for W4; W3 was a great send-off for the original cast but it was a little narratively limiting)
Never took you for a fan of transsexual lesbian powercouples and gayniggers.
Roche path specifically, in my opinion.

Let's face it, canon Geralt would never ally with Roche because Roche is a conservative nationalist and Geralt is a liberal, coomer, male feminist and snowflake. Iorveth Antifa is a natural direction for him.
CDP put a lot of work into making Geralt less of a hypocrite and a more coherent character than his literary counterpart. If The Witcher 4 had been made in 2015, Ciri would have also become likeable, instead of making her even more of a Mary Sue than she already was.

I wonder if this time the general public will finally catch on to the change that has taken place in CDP. They didn't get it with Cyberpunk, but that was in a different time.
I don't care about canon Geralt. It's my game.
