Found the Hazard area. Now I need a rope to cross a chasm before merging it with a item. How I can find it? Also, I can't leave to previous areas.

Lastly, where is my save game located if I installed in Linux the GoG version?

EDIT At dosdevices/c:/GOG Games/Wizardry 6/I found SAVEGAME.DBS is this my save game data?

The rope is in a chest by a bell. The item you need to combine it with is on a decorated corpse next to a bunch of pirates.

Yes, it's also what you'll be using to transfer your party over to Wizardry 7 by the end of the game, though you'll have to rename it to a .BCF file first.

Without trying to be edgy or anything, mapping Wizardry VI is more fun than most recent games in memory.

Mapping should make a comeback!

Playing Wizardry 6 for the first time. Walked a lot without knowing what to do, checked every door possible, am at lv 6 in beginning of the game. How I open this type of door?

Tried :
  • Bash
  • Lockpick
  • Knock Knock
  • Golden key
  • Copper key
  • Iron key
And nothing, I only opened one type of this door by finding an button in a wall. I'm using search everywhere but no clue about how to open it.
As a rule of thumb: if the game prompts you with a brief description in an otherwise empty room, try searching on it (the specific tile that triggers the text). More often than not you'll find a lot of stuff like this. Also, there's an item you need for a late game encounter that is laying around in those early rooms.

Do note that there are perfectly functional automap mods for vi and vii. I'd reccomend turning off the tooltip options on them since they can corrupt your save.

7 comes with an in-game map. Using a mod is for gays. Making your own map is also more fun when playing 6.
