Of for fucks sake, can't we have one stealth game where the PC isn't an epic parkouring ninja?

At least Garret's face looks okay under the hood. Grim dude with stubble, not an emo teenager.

Eh it's obvious video creator did not have lots of material to work with seeing as the game isn't out yet so he had to use thief 1/2 footage. Video could have a much bigger punch if it's post release, or at least post demo/preview like aliens: colonial marines had.

It's a good sign that these are starting to come out and we don't even have gameplay footage yet, though. I don't think I've seen a positive reaction to this POS anywhere online.

Eh, there's some rumblings of discontent even there. SA, Reddit, and TTLG are near-uniform in their disdain of this decline with the exception of some obvious astroturfers though.

NeoGaf is full of people going "WOW, SO RADTASTIC", but what else would you expect from that den of autists.

I'm thinking Sarkeesian is a Jew. I could see 'shalom' or 'mazel tov' coming out of her mouth in plain conversation. Heh, mazel tov indeed.

Waiting for a proper gameplay to estimate level of butchering the core of series.

This is a week old, but did anyone post this shit yet?

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2013/03/25/the-world-of-thief.aspx

While complete darkness was a big factor in the earlier Thief games, it made it difficult for players to see what was going on. Eidos-Montreal found a key ingredient to help maintain the feel of darkness while adding visibility. "Fog helps us to light the whole game," Cantin says. "If you have a dark scene in a back alley, you just put fog in it and then you see the silhouette. You're never in the pitch dark. The fog is there for the mood but also for helping the player to see."

It's the age of shitty LCDs and couch gaming, what'd you expect? Could be fixable (to a degree) with shader mods and such.

No Stephen Russell? Time to make another IWD2 party voiced entirely by HOW_MALE_3...

What makes it stupider is that Dragon's Dogma got a lot of praise for making darkness actually dark (and as a result, adventuring during the night or a cave is VERY different compared to during the day), despite being a console game.

So apparently they didn't use Stephen Russell because of immershun. :retarded:

So, I’ll cut right to the chase here... On behalf of the community, I have to ask: was Stephen Russell ever considered for the role of Garrett?

Steven: Yes, absolutely, Stephen was considered quite heavily. We actually had him in for some preliminary vocal recordings in fact.
Jean-Christophe: Yes, it was actually very early during development at that time that we had him involved, before we made the decision to record our actor’s voices and their movement at the same time using a full performance capture technique.

:what:

Holy hell, they really are retarded. I find this funny that they still "want" to appeal to the old fans and then casually splatter crap on our faces.
