Why would I share a mod for agame the Codex doens't like? That be retarded. I'd rather wate your time with other shit. I have shown my mod (or what's done of it) with others; but I will not share it with people who I *know* won't like it. Afterall, you guys feel the graphics, music, game play, combat, etc. suck for NWN and all those things exist in my mod so why the hell would I worry what you think about it. You gave me an example of a game that was easier than TOEE which ultimately proves nothing as I never said TOEE was easier than KOTOR2. And, if that makes me a dick so be it.

A. I've showed my mod alreayd to various people so I';m not hiding. I'm not worried about what people think about it. What I said is that why would I share my mod with the 'Codex when the mod is for NWN a game that is hated here? there is no logic about it.

When I had the misfortune to start working on a FO mod I wa smore than happy to share it on the Codex. That included sharing unpopualr ideas like the car thing and gladly accepted criticism of said ideas for myself and on behalf of our team. Beleive me, I cna easily take criticism. The reaosn I shared the Fo mod like I did was becuase a FO mod would be WELCOMED here (if it was good and actually completed, lol) so it served purpose here. Sadly, the Fo mod failed to get off the ground and some good ideas were wasted. And bad ones too. LOL Meh.

If I were to start a thread discussing what my goals for my NWN mod were and various features for it; the only real disucssion would be: NWN sucks. No it does. yes it does. Blah, blah, blah. I'm more than happy to discuss my NWN mod in detail and get full fledge criticism for the parts people dislike and feedback on parts that people like as well.

This doesn't mean I won't post about the mod at all here; but I sure won't go out of my way to. If a topic comes up say about people discusisng mods as in this thread; sure I'll bring up my mod since I actually have some idea about mod making..

I'm only bashing one aspect of the game. The game has many good points, as I've said several times. The combat system is just not one of them.

The simple fact is that if there were a toolset for ToEE we'd get great storyline modules fromn players, plenty of character development AND a great combat system. In short it would be PERFECT.

Instead I settle for just the first two, which it turns out can carry the game quite well even for a guy like me who craves a good combat system. NWN is quite good, but the combat system is it's weakness.

Your attempt to construe that as saying I hate the game is the act of a simpleton.

Um. The fact I like NWN is enough to prove my mod will suck.

That's nor my problem. NWVault is a site decidated to those who like NWN and want to play more. If you aren't a fan of NWN you aren't to be found there for good reason. It's the same reason why I have never tocuhed a MW mod no matter how good or bad they be.

IIRC, my rveiew stated quite clearlt that if you didn't like NWN; you would not like HOTU.

Remember, liking NWN does not = liking the OC. One cna like NWN and not like the OC. I know many people who dislike the OC and get along just fine with them playing and discussing the game.

Interetsing, yes, and worthwhile if you alreayd like NWN like the added henchmen and the interaction and of cours e more feats and skills are also good. But, the gameplay itself, has not changed all that much.

A person devotes her time and energies modding a game she really likes and you step in to take a giant and gratuitous shit on her work just to remind all of a position you have taken a bazillion times already. You are, probably unintentionally, rude and illmannered.
Now, when I check this thread, I find it has been hijacked into another endless round of dumbshit comments about a game you don't like and don't play. What is the point? Why not leave this particular thread to those who are interested in her work and the game and would like to follow the progress of the mod ?

It is just incredibly bad form on your part to insert your well known and entirely negative opinion into a thread devoted to a mod which looks as though it required a great deal of hard work to implement. It is rude Volurn. Now, I have been reading your posts for a few years, here and on the old Black Isle forums and have never really taken issue with you. But must you be such a troll when it comes to the work of fellow gamers? If you dislike the game so much, why not refrain from subverting threads dicussing mods for that game unless you intend to test them out?

God I hope this is my last post on this topic. I need will power to resist.

The bottom line is that the game that I want to play is...

1) Party based
2) D&D or fantasy based (I like D&D rules)
3) Turn based

Given those 3 conditions what do I have to choose from?

I either do a MOD for TOEE to make it the game I wanted, or I play... nothing?

Given the choice between nothing and modding TOEE then I have to got with modding TOEE.

Do you, Volourn, know something I do not?

Is there a party based, D&D style, turn based game that I seem to have missed?

If so please enlighten me.
