Come on, this is bullshit of timetravel into the past and straighten out disturbances is BULLSHIT. If you need to go into the past to "straighten out disturbances" then the present wouldn't exist as the way it is anyways!
That, and the notion that one even COULD straighten out disturbances even in a non-linear system is absurd: You can't calm a disturbed pond by punching the ripples, that would only make it more disturbed!

DW Bradley must be raging now

By the way, does anyone know what he is doing right now? I really enjoyed Wizards&Warriors, but as far as I know this was his last good game.

If Bradley came up with a Wizardrs & Warriors 2 or something alike I would immediately move my money there. But - as a matter of fact and unfortunately - he also seems to smoke the fumes of decay as the only thing he works on is a "new edition of Dungeon Lords" o_O

He keeps trying to mold a pile of shit into something that is magically not shit anymore, for 7 years straight. Must be a compulsive obsession.

Pile of shit in question being Dung Lords.

Ok pg.19 is a lot better than 18 but not a jot on 17. This page needs moar Cleve.

The shaker dood looks retarded because he is wearing a T-Shirt that has his employers logo on it. Special Agents tend not to do that. The only people who do that are roadies.

Maybe his employer's logo is actually a cover, though. Because he looks less like any kind of special agent and more like he works for a cable company.

Well, what have we learned apart from the fact that they want to have a first person view with free mouse look, 4 party members and 2 NPCs, and stats? It just all feels so barren and sad, like they're improvising things as they go along. I can picture them trying to sound all exciting and being all discouraged.

I think they figured they'd raise the money on fame power like Obshitian did. Project Eternity doesn't have any more real info than Daikatana 2 does. They just have the bad luck of not having any newfags who know who the hell they are, and the oldfags are climbing over each other's corpses to get the hell away from the aura of death and decay that surrounds the Dread Archlich Romero.

Actually we did have more (or better) info on Project Eternity; they told us from the start that it's gonna be isometric rtwp and in-spirit of the IE games = that should give players instantly the idea how it's gonna play. It took a week from Loot Drop to tell us that it's going to have free movement and free mouselook.

What I've seen in Kickstarter is that game-project should have some info at start and high concepts to bring in the first enthuahistic pledgers and then pace out rest of the info on the whole campaign and leave (some of) the best bits to the last week to get the high last days. Loot Drop might have ruined the campaign with the initial pitch and won't probably get the spikes they need - once you lose the customers, it takes -helluva- lot to get them back.

They keep on making updates which are not real updates. It was mostly forseeable that they go for the Wizardry 8 kind of gameplay style in control and classes. I have yet to wait for something new...

I agree with @"Humanity has risen!" that it still looks like improvisation rather than actual ideas, even after the 5th update. Not good. If I pressed myself in the way "now I must create something" it always ended up frantic and mostly sucked. If I look at Wizardry 8 I can see they took their time building the game and that they cared about it. But I am really afraid, "Shaker" will suffer...

It shakes me to see the game "Shaker" is done that way. A Martini please... shaken not stirred...

kicktraq has this failing now (was predicted at 101% yesterday, now down to 90%)

wonder how the stress levels are?

Me wondering too. Have decided to stay in as a backer until the end, despite my harsh critics. What else is there to back for ...

I don't think kicktraq is accurate at all since these things never follow a linear progression. But they definitely fucked up badly and still don't seem to realize it. It feels like they had no idea what they were doing and are no scrambling to come up with some kind of pitch after the fact, and it's a pretty shitty one to boot. This is very similar to the Hardcore Tactical Shooter thing and it's pretty amazing that they screwed it up this badly.

The game sounds like it will probably be shit anyway.

I think they continue to estimate how many people would support them, which is a good idea. If they do not reach their goal, I guess they will decide to give up OldSchooRPGs. And who else will (and *can*) make a spiritual successor to Wizardry 8 ? I guess no one in the near future. No project I've seen lists so much of the features of Wizardry 8 as this one. And stepbased Dungeon crawling, like most other projects, is just not the same...

I'll gladly settle for a spiritual successor to Wizardry 7.

This is tragic.

This is like a horrible midget mashed in the middle of the interstate and the tiny midget is just twitching and moaning all mushed over the road.

Finally some guy screams out, I can't take this any more, he jumps in a monster truck and careems down the highway and runs over the midget again to put him out of his misery.

But the midget still isn't dead. He is just horribly mangled even worse than before. Now he is squealing for god's sake please end this horror. So the guy in the monster truck backs over him, puking with disgust. The midget still isn't dead. He's crushed beyond recognition and sort of pulsating like a heap of goo in this puddle of offal. Meanwhile people are standing around with their cellphones taking pictures and monitoring the midget's vital signs with real-time live stats on the internet.

Except the midget is Brenda Braithwaite and Tom Hall.

I can't watch anymore because of the pain it gives me and yet I can't look away. It is somehow hypnotic spectacle watching the pledges decline to 30 people a day. This is not looking on target for the two million to do ... "Shaker." I am sad for Tom Hall he did not have the confidence to go it alone. I am sure he could have put together a good team from his previous experience in games development as well. He did not need to attach himself to "Loot Drop," whatever that is. It is like partnering John Carmack with Boxcar Willy, except Boxcar Willy does not have a chin as manly as Brenda's.
