There might be a silicone sex Lara you can order from a company though. Is that “physical enough?” (A cosplay hooker might be harder to find).

People are going to buy the game because they look so much better than the originals, then they'll actually play them, and nobody will talk about that anymore.

I think the problem is Croft's face, primarily the vacant stare and the lips. Her proportions are too human and polycount too high for such a cartoony head. I suppose, like the body, it's kinda forced on the devs to keep original animations (etc.)

The face is almost 1:1 with the old Core Design renders used in promotion, FMVs etc. It's the other human characters and their models that I'm worried about. Have they been upgraded? I hope so because the original ultra-low poly models would clash with Lara's during engine-rendered cutscenes. Even high-resolution textures wouldn't help them.

The creature models are almost the same as before, even though the wolf in the remaster screenshot looked like a taxidermy accident. This, and the lack of screenshots of the humans makes me suspect they will reuse the original models.
It wouldn't exactly be entirely out of tune with the original for the enemies to be a bit janky in the remaster. Everything else looked worse than Lara. Which is a shame, because I think if they worked at those models a little bit more they could be pretty nice even within the confines of then limitations.

Pantyshots when?

That facial expression, unless it's photoshopped in, doesn't look like the angry face seen in the photo mode preview. This could mean there will be facial animations during cutscenes, instead of nodding.

Not in 2024. And Lara is popular enough and "girlpowery" enough too to be something even a regular escort would agree with.

Or so I've been told.

The remasters look weird, but I'm just hoping they don't have too many bugs on them or something. I'm not paying full price for them though.

So, the trilogy remaster is estimated to have 200-300 achievements; if that means much to anyone.
Why does Steam still not have an option to turn off achievement notifications? Can you imagine being distracted up to 100 times in one game?

Fun fact about the T-Rex that people might not know: there's a unique texture for the playermodel that only shows up in that specific instance, if the T-Rex kills you with the biting animation. You won't see it unless you're actively looking for it, but Lara's covered in bloody cuts and her eyes are rolled back, dead. Freaked me the absolute fuck out when it was first pointed out to me.

And it's not in the gameplay video

That explains how to turn off the entire Steam overlay, not how to turn off achievements.
The steam overlay is not worth being interrupted with achievement notifications so this is the best answer there is.

So now it's confirmed that they've upgraded at least some of the human models besides Lara.

The freezer door includes the names "L. Giovanni" and "R. Audronni", known modders of the classic TR games. They might've been involved in these remasters.

The butler is a hunchback now, huh? The other humans are harder to screw up, but man, that doesn't bode well.
