You are the sheep just as much if you need to chime into every D3 about how bad it is! You're just as bad as the sheep that buy it; except you're one of the sheep that keeps pointing out how bad it is.

You know that commercial on TV, where they all wear red shirts that say what makes them unique? It's an American commercial and they all say things like "I'm a Dreamer", or "I'm an Artist", or "I'm a Fighter". There's one chick that wears a black shirt that says "I'm a Rebel".

But she's still just as much a part of the crowd that tries nothing but to stick out so she can fit in with the people who stick out. It's human nature.

By calling your friends sheep you are just calling yourself one, or pointing out that the sun is rather far away.

Whoa, someone's butthurt. What's wrong, Jasede? Error 37 get you down? Lag spike kill you in your single player campaign?

From a graphical point of view, this looks more like WoW than ever. That gear screen hurts my eyes. Pass.

For true grimdark try Path of Exile.
No. Checked out some gameplay vid on yt of PoE, remembered that I had seen the massive skill choices before. That's the only thing it has going for it. Combat looks like shit with effects looking like they've been pulled straight out of Shitsiege 3.

I'm not; I'm being pretty neutral. In fact, I even joked about my own failings in good humor.
(For the record, I haven't gotten one Error 37 and I find Normal difficulty pretty challenging; which serves me right for running around with 600 HP in Act 3)

I'm very satisfied with the game. It's not the best game ever. It's not even a very good game. But it is probably the most entertaining thing this year so far since Grimrock to me. It's a shame they don't make actual RPGs anymore but there's no harm in playing a H&S from time to time. I feel like the game is just Diablo 2 with a better skill system, more cartoony graphics and an inferior item system. It also feels a lot longer. (Which is funny because everyone complained it was short.)

Look, I'm just saying there's no shame in being a little more neutral. There are shades between blind fanboy slavery and utter hatred and if we all took that to heart we'd probably all get along a little better.

My single player game having a login queue and lag on a bad server day - the very notion that my single player game could get interrupted because someone elses server has a hiccup is where I draw the line. This is a clear case of pirates gettign a vastly superior product simply because whatever server emulator they'll end up running locally won't have to deal with that bullshit.

The real money store to buy loot in a game where loot is the only meaningful point of character advancement (heck, the accumulation of loot is the purpose of diablo games itself) is just the shit icing on the turd cake. D3 is not just a bad game, it is an abomination.

TBH him liking a game - no matter what game - just gives his (IMO often too) scathing outlook on most games more validity. It's easy to say someone just hates everything. It's much harder to discredit someone who actually likes a few games (for good reasons). It doesn't matter if people approve of the games he likes or not.

Edit:

Ulminati, that's like saying every game that has saving/loading wherever is abominable because you can just save/load until you get the perfect outcome every time. If you want to buy loot, go ahead. People would do that without an official auction house, except they'd then risk losing their accounts or being cheated. The real meat of the game is trying to force the RNG to give you what you want and to most that feels pretty rewarding when it works.

The always online is fine to me because I've yet to experience issues and so far it's made playing with bros and strangers incredibly fast and easy. I don't know. I just don't see it. I'd understand if you complained about these things in other games, but in a H&S that's all about playing with your bros or yourself to grind better items? I just don't see it. Maybe if I couldn't play because the servers were always down I would, but they're up most of the time. (Whenever I play, that is.)

i really don't understand these "diablo 3 isn't a very good game, but it's really fun" apologists... am i the only one that thinks "quality" and "fun" are directly proportional? that one cannot exist without the other? eh... :?

anyway, i registered on the runic forums and torchlight 2 site, linked the accounts, enabled the newsletter but i didn't get any beta key (yesterday afternoon). did i do something wrong bros?

It's a good game. Not every game has to be very good, especially if you have really high standards for "very good". I probably would count maybe ten games or so in my whole life as "very good", so "good" is pretty damn good enough.

Also, quality and fun aren't proportional; a lot of people have the guilty pleasure of watching bad movies or listening to shit music. There's even entire music genres based on making shit music for people to enjoy, such as Metal, Dubstep and Rap.

Bullshit. When on the one hand he claims to hate 'popamoles', 'QTE', and 'Click-fests' yet on the other hand has them all on his list of all time favorites then one can safely and with good reason dismiss his views as having any merit beyond the purely subjective. In other words he hates games based on his own personal preference and not because they contain some hated mechanic.

There's nothing wrong with that objectively speaking, but it is a problem when you try and claim some kind of moral superiority over others that do like modern shooters or 'click-fest' games given that he is exactly the same.

Are you seriously criticizing Skyway for hating games based on his own personal preference? I don't even like the guy's preferences myself some of the time, but that's really messed up. Every single review ever written, just like every single opinion is fueled solely by personal preference.

Besides, why can't you hate clickfest/QTE/popamole games that pretend to be RPGs (like ME 3 or Dragon's Age) for purporting to be RPGs and tainting RPG mechanics? Maybe if they claimed to be popamole action-fests they'd arouse less scorn because they wouldn't be threading on sacred ground. TL 2 and D3 are click-fests by design. That's just how that genre works; the real-time rogue-like with no perma-death. Abominable and fun to equal amounts of people.

True story.

You do realize that Blizzard made that level on purpose to troll all those artfag whiners who were butthurt about Diablo 3 not being GRIMDARK enough, right? I'd say they did a pretty good job.

Count yourself lucky then:

The few sheepleBROs I know who got it have all complained about lagspikes where everything freezes for 5-10 seconds after they've played for a while. Are you saying we should tolerate this kind of BS in our single player games now because it'll delay the pirates a month or two before the crack is out anyway and pirates get a better version?

this is another concept i don't understand.. why would i feel "guilty" for liking something? makes no sense. also, metal isn't shit (can't say anything about dubstep or rap since those musical genres don't interest me)

and watching bad movies is an entirely different "thing". it's MST3K: you watch to laugh at it and it requires a relatively small time commitment, unlike playing shitty games like D3 (especially considering there are better, not to mention cheaper alternatives around).

and that's not even getting into the whole "voting with your wallet and thus directly contributing to the decline" side of things. people buying D3 are simply disgusting human beings that try to justify spending 60$ on a crappy SP game with lag and queues (lol!) by saying "but it's fun!". or simple sheeple. filthy creatures, both of them

this kind of attitude is something i'd expect from gamefaqs untermenschen, not the fucking codex.

Boy, you must have an IQ of 150 to figure that out. You really are superior to all of us.

I find the act of "trolling" loyal Blizzard customers who actually supported the Diablo franchise since day 1 (unlike the casuals) and making fun of their position reprehensible. That's not how you treat customers. I'm glad though you were able to get a laugh at the expense of those loyal customers that only wanted the unique Diablo feel to persist.

I have read that Diablo 3 has already been cracked.
No idea how they do it, but that's the word.

[Citation needed]

It's very weak evidence, admittedly. A few comments from a news report on Tomshardware.com.
Didn't have much time to look for evidence confirming it, as I was in a bit of a hurry.
From looking around a bit more, it seems to be probably not true (yet).

It may initially look that way until you realize that the prostitute isn't all that great and probably infected you with a bunch of malware. :smug:

Well I guess it is true then you get what you pay for. You pay Blizzard/Activision, you get herpes.

Wow I can't wait for Torchlight 2, it looks awesome! I'm preordering right now! Torchlight was soooooo good (never actually played (more than an hour of) Torchlight)

Diablo 3 isn't the sequel we deserve and has the most heinous DRM ever, absolutely, but let's not pretend that boring ass garbage Torchlight is our clicktard savior.

No Glossed Turds.

Embermage on Veteran is quite ab it OP. So far I have only died to a random boss that had dividing ability and got double penetrated when he dropped, Chilhoof being a massive faggot with his ice shard similar to dogboys pink lightning hose in D2, and a few random stupidities where I frost phased into shit when I meant to go away from it.

So far no lag for the stress test weekend, only deaths were user error. If im going to have a cartoon clickfest game ill go with TL2, the existence of a skill tree means I can get more replay out of each of the classes, the pet helps to enable my lootwhore nature and I have a bro ready to play it with me already. Feels kindof short for me, but for $20 its worth it to me, if you arent that sure wait for a sale to get your click on, im sure gaben will have some ludicrous savings during summer.

Before long, they'll be listing "NO LAG IN SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN!" on game boxes as a feature.
