Perhaps Nathan Drake is one of the previous castoff's and being stuck in a popamole console game is the Torment we need to save him from.

Looks cool! Though not much to see on there, the teasing with the P:E screenshot was better done IMO.

Hmm, I think the screen looks good'ish. But there is something a bit off about it, as if more belonging to an old-school adventure game. But yeah, it could be the low resolution.

Heh, it does look like something from Legend of Kyrandia 2, doesn't it? :)

Anyway thank God they didn't go with 3D. Torment with a high-res, hand-drawn, old-school adventure type graphics? Hell yeah!

Isn't the camera angle kinda off though? I'd have expected more of a top-down perspective. Think that's what's giving it much of the adventure game vibe, instead of a isometric party-based RPG vibe.

Project Eternity screenshot was the same. Remember VOTS's complaints about "titty angles"?

You guys dumb or something?
They not gonna release a tiny-ass shot like that; they are prepping the real deal.

Also that perspective is fine; just like Torment. Who cares about perspective when you are trying to evoke an unsettling mood? Wrong perspective only helps. It's not like they don't know. They probably draw more shit than you do, chances are.

I'm worried that Torment will not see such a huge increase in funding during the last days as P:E. If I remember correctly, most of the final day donations for P:E came from existing backers upping their pledges, and currently P:E has a lot more backers than Torment, like 25k more. Also I looked at the statistics and for P:E the daily pledges already started increasing to 50-100k from 30-40k at the begging of the final week.

I think that it will reach the MCA goal, but I doubt it will surpass P:E in funding. I hope I'm wrong though.

Other media has followed and also posted a high res version of this pic:
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Torm...irst-Official-In-Game-Screenshot-341896.shtml

Its more creative design wise than the P:E picture and brings across the Planescape:Torment mood nicely, but imho it lacks a bit of the level of detail that the P:E picture had. Therefore, its sadly not leaving quite the same strong impression on me like the P:E piece did.

Anyway, I'm satisfied and hope that this will bring the increase in pledges that they had hoped for.

I think its already 3,5 with paypal and a total of $200.000 from Brian Fargo and Steve Dengler, but maybe they wont add that 200k to KS, I'm just guessing.
