I suspect the only reason we are not seeing female warrior priests, female dwarven engineers and female blood dragon knights in WaWa is because GeeDubs forbids it. Otherwise CA would shit all over that game too.

A horse of course

THREE KINGDOMS – New Content Team
There’s still work to be done on the early adopter bonus content, but while they finish up with Yellow Turban Rebellion, the 3K New Content Team has been beginning pre-production and planning on the next post-launch content packs. As with our previous titles, we’ll be aiming to support 3K with a variety of free-LC and DLC. With the Three Kingdoms period to play with, the team have got some really cool options on the table. Again, more on what they’re working on next year.

Lazy naggers haven't even released the fucking game and they're already making a second round of DLC

This is shaping up to be a disaster like Rome 2. We're less than 2 months away from release and we know nothing about the game. There is one video of a very scripted battle and one showing a little diplomacy. We have nothing about campaign gameplay, factions, units or sytem reqs. But they made sure to tell us there will be warrior women and tons of DLC.

Worst of all even if the game is shit it will be a bestseller because all the chinese players will buy it. All i wanted was Medieval 3. Is that too much to ask?

wtf is there to reveal? SPOILER::::

  • There's gonna be some factions
  • They're all going to have the same units: archers, cavalry, weak melee, strong melee, anti cavalry melee, siege
  • Some big dynasty warrior lords who kill lots of stuff
  • The campaign is gonna involve you having lots of battles and taking over some castles
  • U get an income each turn that u can use to build army dudes
  • $20 dlcs will introduce new factions with the same units reskinned
  • system reqs are high for high graphics and medium for low graphics
how many reskins do they need to release before you realize this?

Their marketing push is usually 1-2 months prior to release. In the October blog they talked about the campaign reveal/gameplay being showcased in January/February.

Medieval 1212AD should have you covered.

No reason to believe this game will not end up exactly like any of the Shogun titles, where all factions are the same. So hard to go back to this boring faction setup after playing Warhammer, where there are so many different factions with specific mechanics. CA has kind of sabotaged itself here.

Not if the chinks and chink fanboys go wild they're getting a TW set in their favorite period. Also creating DLCs will be cheap as fuck compared to WH. Just create another leader model with some unique voice lines and then just repaint units and give them +4MA and -3MD. BAM $19.99.

Saddest thing is even if you put the ARR ROOK THE SAME meme aside Three Kingdoms really is the perfect setting to do the whole nickel and dime DLC shit. So many warlords, not to mention you can just do scenarios starting at different points in time and expand the potential roster even more.

That actually sounds really awesome, feigning the firing of your agents and letting them get hired by other lords so they can spy for you and others doing the same to you, but has Creative Assembly ever implemented an interesting mechanic without botching it in its first incarnation? Concept is one thing, modding fixing it for you something else entirely.

Another wheel reinvented. This was pretty much the same in Seven Kingdoms.

Ed, you should watch some Three Kingdoms (2010). The whole thing's up on YTube. Great series - immersed me in the setting, big-time. I know purists prefer the early 90s version, but purists aren't always a great barometer for general enjoyment.

Speaking of that series, I'm going to try out Cao Cao first, because he's the only smart ruler in the whole saga. Liu Bei, Sun Quan, Cao Cao et al had smart advisers, but only Cao Cao was on that same intellectual level. Brutal, subtle, world-weary, cunning, intelligent and ambitious. Liked the character a lot, even if he was ultimately portrayed as a villain (as he usually is, in ROTK media).

Good scene, showing his style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dftx28aZ46c

Please, someone change the word "historical" to "fantasy" up there.
